Review of Renmark Club: Consistently Disappointing Food, but Great Service

We’ve attended an event at Renmark Club for the last two years, and unfortunately, the food has been a consistent letdown. This year, the vegetarian option was a salad, which, quite frankly, was boring, lazy, and in no way worth the price we paid. The dish felt cheap, as though little thought or care had gone into it. For a main meal, it was a ridiculous offering that left us hungry and unimpressed.

Here’s a photo of the dish—just a handful of greens, with no real flavor or effort put into the presentation. At that price, we were expecting something substantial, but instead, we were left wondering if a quick trip to get a pizza on the way home might have been a better option.

A suggestion to the chef: if you’re looking for a vegetarian main that’s at least satisfying, why not consider adding haloumi to the dish? It’s a simple, tasty addition that could elevate the meal without too much extra effort.

On a positive note, the service staff were excellent. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience was as comfortable as possible.

If you’re in Renmark and want a good dining experience then you can’t go far wrong with the Renmark Club.

There were plenty of food options on the menu to suit most people’s tastes. The food was great, well presented and tasted as good as it sounded on the menu.

The staff were pleasant and the food came out fairly promptly. The restaurant is light and airy, clean and tidy.

I will no longer support the Renmark club..
As ex employee and member of the club I’m deeply disappointed on how they handled this situation.

A long-standing member of the Club, had her Mother’s Day booking abruptly cancelled, her membership revoked, and was banned from the venue by email. This was due to a "past incident" involving someone external to the Club. She was not given a chance to speak, no proper explanation, and was simply told she is not welcome until that third party is no longer employed there.
All of this by email, blocking her on all social media and phone call, leaving her without the chance to speak for herself.

This is someone who has supported the Club for years, brought people there, shared the club doings and dishes all the times.. A regular, a single mum and DV survivor who deserved at least a respectful conversation, not a cold email and a refund.
A social anxious woman that has been treated like a threat by the manager of the club..

Excluding someone based on a one-sided concern, without transparency or the opportunity for resolution, is not what community looks like. Renmark Club, you have let a good person down. In doing so, you have lost the support of many who believe in fairness, compassion, and accountability.

Had a quiet disappointing experience tonight to say the least. Ordered a medium rare steak and it was so chewy. Got halfway through it for the steak to break a tooth. Also had a nice server who I think was new, she made a small understandable mistake to which another employee acted like she was the manager and told this server off. I felt sorry for this server and hope she finds a better job that will treat her better. Her service was 10/10

Not bad food but could have been hotter. Not sure if the oysters were from Coffin away or whether it was just the way they Kilpatrick'd them.

What a beautiful piece of perfection! The food is spectacular, the cocktails, especially pine splice, and the staff are absolutely awesome. Can't wait to go back for breakfast, lunch and dinner 😀
