A Distinct Touch of Class

If there is one theme we could choose to describe our experience of moving into and living at the Renaissance Retirement Village in Victoria Point, it would have to be first-class, quality service. There is much we could write about, but since space is limited, we’ll share three examples as follows:

In walking over the grounds of the Village, we have been impressed by the beauty of all the gardens. The horticulturists on the gardening team have thoughtfully planted the garden around each Villa (while allowing individual residents their participation if desired). The well-maintained gardens and grounds, with all their variety of colour and flowers, are a daily delight to behold!

On our Settlement Day at Renaissance, Janine, the Client Liaison Consultant, gifted us with several practical items including a welcome hamper — beautifully arranged and filled with a variety of delectable, quality packages of sweet and savoury items, together with a bottle of sparkling wine. The hamper and the other gifts were an example of the quality touch of Renaissance.

After a few weeks of settling into our new Villa and environment, Sandie and Mike welcomed us to Renaissance on behalf of the Residents’ Association. It was a most helpful time together as they told us about the many aspects of Village life. What also impressed us was the brochure they left with us — entitled “Welcome to Renaissance Victoria Point Village”. It is a very informative brochure, replete with colour photos – indeed an outstanding, top-quality guide for Village living.

In closing, Eva and I believe that we are privileged to be a part of a first-class retirement village.

It is about 2 weeks since I moved in and my journey has been smooth and painless. It is a difficult decision to decide to move into a retirement village like Renaissance. From a financial point of view it seems a very poor investment decision, but then you have to think of the convenience, security and comfort that it will bring in your autumnal years. On that measure it is a easier decision, and the friendly and genuine advice (no used car salespeople here) offered along the way helps make the transition relatively painless. The villas are nicely renovated before a new occupancy and comfortable and quite spacious when you get your furniture in. The grounds and gardens are lovely and well maintained, the residents are friendly and welcoming, the staff helpful and generous with their time. The most common quote from residents is "best move we ever made" or "should have done it years ago" I am sure that will be my mantra in coming years.

We visited family at Renaissance Lifestyle Living, Victoria Point on several occasions and was made to feel so welcome by all of the residents that we met. We were so impressed by the dozens of activities available to residents each week and the excellent, well maintained facilities, that we relocated from Adelaide to Renaissance to be part of such a wonderful community. Anyone thinking of retirement living should consider Renaissance. You won't be disappointed. Tony, Tracey and Rosemarie.

As a Sponsor of our Bowls Club, Renaissance invited us to play a game of Bowls with some of their residents. Wonderful hospitality was shown to us, with scrumptious catering, and a great friendly atmosphere by the staff and residents. Their bus was sent to collect us from our Club, and the space between the seats was twice the normal spacing - great for us long legged people. I understand bus trips are quite frequent for the residents, so the extra space would be welcomed for everyone. Their Community Centre is a busy place with all sorts of activities, so you shouldn't be bored. The surroundings are quiet, peaceful, and serene with all the bushland around. I will certainly be looking at a residence there, when it's time for me to move.

I have lived at Renaissance for four months and am very happy. My villa is modern, well designed, comfortable and very well maintained. The gardens and grounds are immaculate and the location near Lakeside and the Victoria Pt shops is ideal. Great leisure centre and plenty of activities if you want them.

We have been Village residents for 2 months and although still settling in are already loving the relaxed lifestyle and friendly community. Our neighbours, other residents and staff have made us very welcome. We have started using and are enjoying the extensive social and leisure activities on offer and are very happy we chose Renaissance. Colin and Ellen

We have been here for a little over a year and when we have been out and drive back through the Renaissance gates we smile and say "ah! we're home!" There are so many positive aspects to Renaissance living - villas, built with the needs of residents in mind, activities galore, functions , and the beautifully maintained gardens and natural wetlands which cheer and revitalize us when out walking . Then there is the convenience of shops, services, doctors, dentists, restaurants, and theatre right at our door. Last but not least is the caring and personal attention of the staff and management - they feel like old friends.
