I give Red Poles 5 star. The communication for booking the room was super easy and hassle free. The staff when we arrived were lovely and up for a chat. We had a bit of lunch and the food was delicious! That garlic butter and damper👌

We stayed one night, as we only needed accommodation to attend a wedding 4 mins down the road. Super convenient location for us. It's not a luxurious 5 star, nor did I expect it to be. The price was good, as we only required a bed and bathroom, (booked the room with the ensuite) and Red Poles provided just that. Parking was right at the rooms door which was handy.
I would say the room was vintage. It was like a cabin in nature, but apart from being a tad out dated (would love to do it up so much potential, but again that would raise the price of the stay) it was clean and a spot of basic brekky was provided in the room (bread, juice tea, milk etc). Otherwise I'm sure the restaurant was open late morn if you wanted more.
It was a peaceful stay and waking up to birds in the morning was lovely, take that over city sounds any day.

Would recommend if you need a simple stay.

Great food. But the wait for dessert was over an hour, with a set menu! I’ve given it 4 stars as the food was great, but just disappointed with the slow service. It seems that they were too busy for the amount of resources they had.

I'll put the positive first: Besides the accommodation the breakfast from the restaurant was fantastic, great coffee and service! Beautiful natural tranquil place to visit to enjoy the surroundings and meals from the kitchen! Beautiful birds everywhere and a nice outside area for room guests to enjoy!

If you are looking for a nice 4 or 5 star accommodation this is not the room. I guess the rate was reflective. We said while we there its like camping in the kids cubby house or scout hall with a variety of spider webs. Average bed and furniture but we had fun and made the best of our time. The first thing we found when we walked in was the tea pot still had old tea and tea bags still in it from previous tenant and the cereal offer had about 3 table spoons in it. Even the next day after being refreshed the pot was left the same. It just makes you question what else has been over looked...

I would definitely go back for brekky or lunch!

Beautiful lunch on a mild summer day. Food was delicious and well priced. Nice wine and lovely location. Grass area had a few outdoor games for the kids. Very family friendly.
Would definitely return, especially for a larger family outdoor gathering.

Waited over 3 hours for food and 45 minutes per drink… kids meals came out, the food was cold and undercooked after asking the kitchen multiple times. Disappointing for a venue with a set menu. We left without food and only paid for the drinks.

Staff were friendly and accommodating though, and gave the kids meals free of charge

Went for lunch and it was a wonderful experience. Food, service, location - all great. But the way the staff looked after our 3yo boy was next level. Very authentic interest in ensuring he had a great time while we got to enjoy our food and wine, was hugely appreciated.

We had a delightful lunch today at Red Poles to celebrate my birthday. We chose a relaxing table under the shady verandah and we were entertained by beautiful little blue wrens flitting around the garden next to our table. The staff were wonderful and the food was absolutely divine. I am a vegetarian and I was most impressed with the House made Ricotta Gnocchi, the best vegetarian meal I have had in a long time. My partner had the Lamb rump which was equally delicious. The piece de resistance was the dessert! The duo of seasonal sorbet with summer berries, was simply stunning, both in size and taste! I had also ordered the Grilled stone fruit but the sorbet would have been more than enough for us both to share. We will definitely be back for more.
Thankyou Red Poles for a very memorable day!

I had a very nice morning tea there in a natural setting (like an unkempt backyard) and the staff were attentive. However, tragedy struck when I tripped, cut and bruised my knee walking back to the car. The car park is uneven with jutting rocks, and even an able-bodied person might find themselves flat on the ground. Both the garden and the car park need to be leveled properly for the safety of guests.
