I stayed at the motel overnight en route to the snow and was by myself on this occasion. I didn't try the wifi because I forgot they had it! My room was perfectly adequate for the two people it would normally accommodate and although last decorated in what seems like the 80's, had everything I needed and more than I expected - small bar fridge (with a little jug of fresh milk or sealed containers of milk if you preferred), a microwave, toaster and kettle along with the usual makings of tea and coffee. There was both a column heater and a split-cycle air conditioner and the bed had an electric blanket. For an inexpensive little motel, it had way more included in the room than the much fancier place I stayed in at the snowfields. The hairdryer in the bathroom didn't work but the fact that it had one was a surprise. A good supply of hot water and a reasonable size TV rounded out the amenities and made it a comfortable stay.The room was very clean also. It was a little noisy, being near the very busy street but after a while it faded and you can always use earplugs. The lady in charge was very friendly and efficient and also very welcoming. I'd recommend the Rainbow as a good low budget motel for a stopover to break a journey or a couple of nights. Plenty of takeaway restaurants very nearby or the main shopping centre only a short distance away also.

Was pleasantly surprised with the room.
It was clean, bigger than an average motel room & seemed recently renovated.
We were greeted by a lovely lady named Alice & her friendly demeanour was above & beyond.
Would absolutely recommend a stay here

I would agree with the other comments the Motel is showing its age even though I was fortunate to have one of the newly renovated rooms. The furnishings were new, bed comfy and all I needed in the room for my 1 night stay. The outside let the place down and the fact that most of the rooms are on the side of the motel that is noisy from the road. In the morning you had the industrial noise from the back so they could not win. Service out weighted all of that Alice could not do enough to make my stay comfy. Thank you.

It's a bit dated and simple but its clean, fairly quiet, comfortable and the staff were amazing and helpful. The only issue we really had was the WiFi was a bit spotty but was quickly resolved every time. Would recommended it to anyone needing a place to stay that isn't too far from everything, we'll definitely be back.

Cheap, yet clean||The room have everything we needed even a microwave and bar fridge. |Beds aren't uncomfortable, had a good nights sleep.||Warning: be prepared for extremely friendly staff! The Chinese woman who helped us on arrival was very welcoming, answered every question, always had a smile and was just all round nice!

We rocked up, my daughter and 3 grandsons am me pop, 5pm everything else booked out and we were handed a lovely room and well priced.
The lovely lady went out of her way to help settle us in.

Great stay in an unpretentious yet very comfortable motel. Bed was comfy and warm and unit was very clean and had everything we could need. Excellent bathroom. Host at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Basic but ticked all the boxes: comfortable bed, clean, fridge, microwave, toaster, hairdryer, staff very friendly. Not far from the CBD, only a few minutes drive. As it is on the Kings Highway there is traffic noise but not enough to stop me ftom sleeping. For the budget conscious an excellent place to overnight.
