I have driven past this museum all these years and never once stopped but gave it a go this time. Well worth a stop on any road trip as it is free and run by volunteers. I noticed on previous reviews that it was mentioned they weren't open as stated. I have clarified that they open everyday 10-4 except Fridays. The planes are well maintained and the inner museum is full of history and insights. I even bought a Sluban model kit as I was leaving. Great for the Legacy charity and for a kids present.

Wow 🤩 this is THE WOW FACTOR… When first arriving into the town of Wagga Wagga.

You can’t help but stop when you see big RAAF planes parked outside of the RAAF base!

Inside the heritage centre was filled with interesting pictures, historical belongings and even a Morse code to learn🤩

The people in there were just the best, they told us everything we needed to know about the RAAF planes ✈️

Nice little museum for the base. Staffed by nice and friendly volunteers who make the experience quite interesting. The outside plane exhibits are very interesting to look at, but make sure that you go inside the brick building to experience all the exhibits.

Fantastic little museum with great history of the RAAF Wagga and 31SQN. The volunteers at the museum were very helpful and informative as the two on duty, Bob and Bob, were veterans and had some great stories about their service in the RAAF. Worth stopping in for a look and chat. They have souvenirs for sale (cash only) plus have some freebies as well such as all Defence service newspapers and stickers.
