Positives

- Easy parking, spacious site, easy to get to, lit up at night.
- Grass and gardens, connection to nature is lovely
- Well maintained and neat property grounds
- Spacious room
- Comfortable beds, and clean and tidy room
- Good amenities
- Coffee, tea, fresh milk and a few biscuits in the room was appreciated as we had driven all day and arrived at 7:30PM and were too tired and remote to drive to town for dinner
- Nice, thick and soft towels
- It was freezing day, and I appreciate that management heated the room prior to our arrival, thank you.

Challenges
1. The price was not transparent, additional fees were added. If this had been clear I could have stayed centrally in town at the Mecure for an extra $20. When I queried this the concierge said that other guests had also complained about this.
2.Breakfast was advertised but the breakfast room was not open despite it bring a weekend - as we chose on the understanding we could eat at the hotel.
3. The shower is our room gushed all over the floor as it is fixed in a position on the shower wall to exit on the tiled floor outside the shower, and there is no shower screen - annoying if you start more than one night. Would recommend this is attended to with a floor lip or curtain
4. USB sockets next to the bed - to charge your phone - would be a useful addition.

Where to begin, room was very old and nothing like the photos on the website, room for 4 people and no lounge for anyone to sit on! TV’s are not smart TV’s which would not be a big deal if they received more than the ABC and SBS, remotes held together with sticky tape and don’t work. Hot water for a room for 4 people last about 3.7seconds so that was fun. Reading the comments online these same issues keep getting mentioned and the response is we will pass it to management, well the response is obviously from management and they don’t care, only interested in making money and not putting anything back into the rooms. All these issues were brought up to reception at the time and the response was will get it sorted tomorrow. The solution to no lounge was a fold away bed for us to sit on! TV’s never got replaced as stated by receptionist. Overall not the place to stay in Wagga as for the money you can definitely find better elsewhere. The only issue mentioned on the website we did not experience was backed up drains and flooding in the bathroom however our daughter stay in another room whilst we were there and had that issue. So nothing is being done and everything else is just lip service.

Nice looking place but beds are softer than wet tissues. They appear to be old cheap hotel beds with double bases .

Very lumpy. I could not sleep at all on these beds and it ruined my night.
The owners need to understand that good beds and heating are the main reasons we stay in motels. It's not the price or meals.. it's the sleep bit.

The shower floods quickly and bathroom clearly has sewer vent issues.

This made my shower limited and I could smell sewer the whole shower.

Would NOT reccomend.

Bed was comfy but the bathroom had a bad odour and the towel rakes were falling of the wall. But very clean and tidy. Just need to rinse the drains and the odour would be fixed i this . Will stay again as convenient to road house for trucks and large caravans.

We wanted to book the function room for a 70th birthday party. After several tries via phone I finally spoke to someone who advised me to put my request in writing to "reservations" This was sent on the 16th of June.|I finally got a reply on June 30th|Reservations @ Carriage House |Mon, Jun 30, 2:48 PM (12 days ago)|to me|( note, spelling is correct as received)|Hope you are doing well, Sorry for the delay.|We can’t do this function for you.|We closed on the weekends and chef’s is not ready to work for for this.| I apologies for the inconvenience.||Ah, so you dont have a chef who works the 3 busiest days of the week ?|The room might be nice but the customer service is a zero.

The lady wasn’t at reception when I checked out but I was going to going to mention I didn’t think the room was as clean as it could be. The towels weren’t folded very well which gave me the impression they they may have been dirty or used previously. The spa felt dirty slimy as in it hadn’t been cleaned properly. We didn’t use it and nor would I ever use a bath in a hotel. The base of the taps seemed a bit grubby too. But other than that. It was ok. We would stay there again. Thanks

I have started staying here for my monthly work visits. It’s a little out of the CBD, and quite peaceful and the staff at reception are lovely. Especially the lady in the mornings at checkout. The rooms are great clean and updated. As a travelling Rep, it’s my home away from home. have yet to try the Restaurant but will soon. Highly recommend this property

1: after waiting some 20 minutes for someone to come to the desk, I eventually rang to see if I could check in.
2: when someone eventually came to the desk I was told my credit card was declined. I was assured that it was needed to secure the booking of the three rooms required for our group.
We were all paying individually and I intended to use my Debit card and I had no reason to suspect that the payment would be accessed before our arrival. This action incurred a fee from my financial institution.
3: the rooms were clean but not enough crockery ect for the number of people in the unit.
4: the rooms were not serviced every day, we continually had to go to the desk for tea/ coffee etc.
