Went to this hidden gem to see Ben Lee and it was brilliant. Firstly, huge kudos to the owners for attracting such an Aussie legend to a small regional venue. And while I am at it well done for making the bold/crazy move to open a live venue in a little country town.

From the pictures and the name I had expected quirky decor…and it totally is. Crazy stuff everywhere. What I didn’t expect was the quality of the food going out to 100+ people. For me dinner shows are notoriously high risk for food but Qirks has channeled the spirit of Lizottes who did it so well for years. Fairly simple tasty food executed really well. My steak was bang on medium rare which I struggle to get at most places in Sydney and Melbourne.

This is a brilliant way to see artists in an intimate personal setting and a rare dinner/show format. Oh and the staff were all super friendly, so keen for people to have a good experience.

We were a group of three trying out Qirks for the first time on a Sunday for brunch. There was easy street parking out front and there were plenty of tables available. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Our drinks were perfect (the Mars Bar gelato milkshake was a winner!) The food came out in a timely manner and was very well presented as you can see in the photos, the chef obviously takes pride in their food so kudos to you! Overall, it was a really fantastic experience and we would be back again in the future to try their lunch menu or see a show. Great to see places like this in the area for locals to enjoy 😊

The coolest venue about. Fun environment with much art and other gorgeous decor. Staff were always helpful. Food was delicious (we had pizza and Tandoori). Top shelf entertainment with the British Rock Show. 100% will go back.

Wow! Qirkz in The Hunter is unreal!
I have never been in a place like this before - it is a weird and wonderful feast for the eyes. Quirky paintings, cool statues and memorabilia everywhere!
Everywhere you turn is something fantastic to look at. Must do experience in the Hunter Vally!
Played a show there with Colin Lillie and Billie-Jo Porter and have to say it was an experience I will never forget.
The live sound was terrific, the team made us feel welcome and like we belonged.
Thanks to everyone who came along to the show - you made it even more memorable ❤️
Do yourself a favour and get along to Qirkz in The Hunter!

Just went to Qirkz last night for the first time and saw Collin Lillie and Billie-Joe Porter. What a fantastic night! These two performers were absolutely brilliant. It was an intimate, raw, soulful experience of musical story telling at its best! The sound quality was perfect and it made you feel they were singing just to you. The connection and interaction with the audience was authentic and personal. As I listen to them on Spotify this morning I realise what a special experience we were treated to last night. Looking forward to the next musical experiences at Qirkz....ear marked several coming up!
We had the three course dinner package which consisted of a delicious grazing plate to start, then choice of main and dessert which we had lamb luigini and gnocchi, again top class. Dessert, we both couldn't resist the gelato and cafe coffee!! What isn't there to love? Well, all for only $94pp....bargain quality experience. Oh, bubbles, beer and a mojito complemented all of the above.
Service is friendly and Qwirky just like the venue!

Note: We have no association with anyone connected to this venue or performers. Genuine first time patrons.

Aren't we so very lucky to live in the Hunter? We are brimming with restaurants, wineries, cafes and entertainment.

Sure there are great places to go outside of "The Valley" though I think it is safe to say that here, we have more than our fair share. I make a point of enjoying many of these places.

Recently, I discovered "Qirkz" in Abermain. It is a truly exceptional place that is fast becoming my regular haunt. Qirkz has effectively redefined my expectations of how good the Hunter can be.

My radar was always on the lookout for somewhere... different. A place where I could go for an expertly crafted coffee (yes guilty), a drink or perhaps a delicious treat.

This place I'd hoped for, until now, was a unicorn.

Qirkz is that Unicorn and it is a real game changer in the Valley.

The food is outstanding, as is their coffee. That's not where it ends. They have a brilliant bar that has works of art from floor to ceiling everywhere you look.

For the sweet tooth, they boast a local Hunter Gelato that you absolutely need to try.

To top it all off, Qirkz offers a cosy, intimate space for live music, together with fine dining too. Of course, to enhance your night, there's a wide selection of beers, local wines, and inventive cocktails to entice you.

The music venue reminds me of my early days in underground music places like Soup Plus. Qirkz though, takes this up to another level. It's refined, chic & stylish. My words don't do it justice.

If you are a little "quirky" yourself, you will be doing yourself a grave injustice not to visit Qirkz.

The staff are genuinely warm & attentive and will help guarantee that you have an unforgettable experience from the moment you walk in. You will be telling your friends and boasting with a few selfies across the interwebs.

The décor too, you'll just have to see it to believe it.

I can't believe all this (and more) are waiting in Abermain at the old historic Hotel Denman, and what a transformation!

Qirkz is a hidden gem that is a must-visit for all Hunter locals, how fortunate WE are!

If you are visiting the region, put Qirkz on your itinerary, just do it. To visit the Hunter Valley and miss this rising star... well, there will be tears later.

How can I sum up... If you're looking for a unique dining and entertainment experience that combines great food, a mesmerizing atmosphere, stellar service and unforgettable live performance, Qirkz is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to return and enjoy more of what they have to offer!

We saw the owner, Yaron Hallis, interviewed on TV so wanted to find out for ourselves what Qirkz had to offer. We visited yesterday for ‘ Sunday Lunch with Yaron Hallis”. We were not disappointed. The owners and staff were so friendly and accommodating. The venue is really something to experience. It is so bright and cheery and quirky. Yaron sang during lunch and he really is a talent. And their new chef really knows his stuff. His food was amazing. I had Popcorn Halumi Burger and his home made, freshly produced slaw was to die for. We were planning on partaking of their traditional gelato, but we were just too full. We will definitely visit again, with lots of friends, to enjoy the atmosphere of this fun loving venue and try one of their many flavours of gelato.
