What I love most about Punthill Knox is the people. Everyone—from the manager to the cleaning staff—is super friendly, helpful, and just really nice to deal with.

The place has everything you need to feel at home, especially if you’re staying a while. It’s comfy, convenient, and just makes things easy.

If you book early and go through their website, the prices are great—especially the longer stay rates.

Location-wise, it’s across the road from Westfield Knox (so shopping and food are sorted), and there are heaps of parks, bushland, and walking/bike tracks nearby if you want to get outside.

Highly recommend, especially for longer stays!

Disappointing Stay – Not a 4-Star Experience
I stayed at Knox apartments recently, and I must say it was incredibly disappointing. This is far from a four-star property. The apartment was dirty and run-down, with old, uncomfortable furniture. The blinds were stained, the walls were marked and scuffed, and the carpet was filthy. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly either.

The beds were uncomfortable, and unfortunately, our experience didn’t improve over the course of our stay. I had issues with hot water – the shower would only stay warm for about 3 minutes, and despite maintenance coming to fix it, the problem was never resolved. I had to switch rooms after 2 days because of the ongoing hot water issue.

The amenities were equally disappointing. The gym was basic, and the pool looked uninviting. I had packed swimwear and we had hot weather during our stay, but I didn’t want to risk using the pool due to its poor condition.

Overall, this was a very overpriced stay for what was offered. Room rate was high and we had to pay an additional $20 a day for parking. We stayed for 7 nights. The only positive is the location. Westfield is within walking distance. This property should be rated as a 3-star facility at best. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

Very convenient location to Knox city Westfield which has all the shops and terrific eating options. Adjoining rooms were fantastic for a family of 5, with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and cooking facilities. We will definitely be back!

Sadly the interconnecting rooms smelt putrid of cigarette smell. |Accused by the hotel of damaging the oven door via email over 24 hours after check out (although I alerted them to the smell night of check in via email) and despite them accepting it smelt bad it was a poor customer service experience.

I recently stayed at Punthill Knox and had a fantastic experience. The accommodation was clean and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location is great, with easy access to local amenities, shopping, transport and plenty of nature attractions. The pricing was very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. What stood out most was the staff – they were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure I felt comfortable during my stay. I will definitely be returning for another stay in the future.

Bed was great but overall one bed apartment needed a refresh. Dirty marks on curtain in lounge are and no black out blind - with overnight external lights on this would have been useful! Shower had mould in grout and surface of sink was peeling. Smallest useless hair dryer provided. First floor hallway had a really off putting smell - needs steam cleaned or replace carpet. Wasn’t great!!!!

Lovely, clean and well maintained. Beds are super comfy. Great location, just a short walk to Westfield and lots of restaurants. Staff were friendly and quick to resolve a problem with our bill. Would definitely choose to stay here again, next time I’m needing accommodation in Melbourne.

We are extremely disappointed with the service we received from Punthill Knox. We have made multiple bookings with them in the past, bringing significant business to the property, and we expected a much higher level of professionalism in return.||Despite booking a non-refundable room over a month (October 2024) in advance and providing all the correct contact information, we were informed on the night of our stay that our reservation was cancelled because they could not reach anyone on the phone. This is especially frustrating as we have had a business account with them for some time, with credit card details on file, and our contact number was clearly provided.||After making alternative arrangements, I spoke with James from Punthill, who confirmed the cancellation. When I tried to explain the situation and clarify the facts, James refused to listen, over talking me, and ultimately hung up on me. This level of unprofessionalism and disregard for our longstanding relationship is unacceptable.||What’s even more frustrating is that after being told no rooms were available, I checked Booking.com and saw that rooms were still listed for the same dates. This situation feels dishonest, and it has left us with no confidence in their service moving forward.
