I went on the three day dive trip and loved it!! I was a bit hesitant at first as I’ve never dived unguided but the dive briefings were all really informative and they went over how to use the compass. I only got lost once and managed to find my way back to a visual sign (upside down ice cream cone coral!). The dive instructors were all so great and informative and helpful. The boat was very clean and the perfect size. The food was really good as well. I absolutely loved all of my dives and really recommend this trip to anyone who wants to get a lot of dives in on the Great Barrier Reef.

It was my second time on the reef with Pro Dive, and it was as good as the first time. We were only snorkeling but the different places we stopped were all fantastic both for divers and snorkelers. The crew was very nice and efficient. And cheery on the cake: the music soundtrack was perfect during the three days!
I highly recommend Pro Dive for a three day diving trip on the reef!

I just realized that I totally forgot to write a review!
I did a 3 day Liveaboard in February to get my Advanced Open Water Certification.
It was the best part of my Australia-Trip!

The staff is really kind and considerate. The equipment is high quality and I always felt very safe.

Safety was the most important aspect for me, and they did great! There was no chance one could go missing, as multiple people counted us many times. Everyone had a safety number, which also contributed.
The staff was very strict about depths and air, which I think is very good.

It is a big ship with about 30 people, so keep that in mind. If you are already a diver, you should be able to take care of yourself anyways. But if you didn’t feel comfortable diving on your own with your buddy, there was always a guide you could tag along with.

The food was also very good!😂

Had a great time on the 3 day scuba live aboard! Got the open water certification and added on an adventure certification.

9 dives + 1 snorkeling session was definitely a jam packed schedule but it was well worth it- such a cool experience. Our instructor Will B was great- knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel super safe throughout.

Everyone was super friendly, food was plentiful, and the dive sites were great. Would definitely do another liveaboard with Pro Dive

This is a fun liveaboard however I would not recommend to anyone who is looking for a serious dive experience.

The company has a mandatory reverse profiling policy or you are put in “dive jail” where you are forced to sit out of the next dive. You are encouraged to go as deep as possible on the first dive to “get your depth” or otherwise the next dives of the day are ruined. The first dive of the trip was an orientation dive where we were told to get back on the boat within 20 minutes of going in the water and most people only reached 10m, so one dive was wasted and the next 3 dives impacted as they couldn’t go below 10m.

There was also an arbitrary max depth limit on each dive site (which is presented as if it is the dive site max depth) which if you exceed you are in “dive jail” regardless on whether you reverse profiled. I am an AOW diver who deliberately went 22m then 20m (only to preserve my ability to go deeper in the remaining two dives, rather than see anything interesting at those depths), however there was an apparent max depth of 17m on the second dive site. I was forced to sit out of the next dive despite there being a >3 hour surface interval and my 20m dive averaging around 6m of depth for 40 minutes. The staff did not listen to any reason or logic and this felt more like a box ticking exercise than having any actual regard for safety. The crew also rely on your word rather than checking your dive computer which incentivises you to say you are within the limits and undermines their policy and regard for safety. As a paying customer and relatively experienced diver I do not expect to be treated like I am in school and have to sit out of a dive that I paid for.

To add to the above, only 1/11 dives were guided as the crew were focused on those doing courses. Not having a guide meant we were reliant on our buddies (who on one occasion couldn’t equalise so I had to return to the boat early) and having to focus on navigating the dive site. You do not have anyone to show you where things are or debrief you after your dive on what you have seen. The dive sites also lacked variety and there were generally 3 dives at each dive location, which felt repetitive.

The crew, boat and in particular the food redeemed the trip. This trip is likely more suited to those getting certified however divers are still sent out without a guide outside of the courses.

The 2 night scuba live aboard was incredible! We did our pool learning elsewhere and did our certification dives onboard, then 5 additional dives (including one night dive). Will B was a great instructor and we had so much fun learning to dive with him. He also made us feel very safe and taught us what to do in emergency situations. Great experience and I’d do it again in a heartbeat

My family went for a 3D2N liveonaboat trip. We completed our Open Water certification. Lucy our instructor was just amazing, so helpful and professional.❤️
We were also very well taken care of on the boat (great food, great dives)
We also were lucky with sunny, calm weather and amazing visibility on the reef.
A big thanks to the complete ProDive team for making this a lifelong memory!🐢🦈🫧
