Our tour guide (don’t know his name but it was the 9pm tour on 29/11/24) was absolutely incredible. Gripping from the start and made the whole tour so interesting and immersive. Our tour guide was a solid 10/10. Definitely recommend

Certainly different to the day tour and we'll worth it. Entered and left with an open mind, didn't personally experience any unnatural events but can't explain bright light picked up in a few pics taken in pitch black without flash in night mode in the prisoners corridors.

We spent the afternoon at Port Arthur and then purchased the evening tickets which included dinner and the ghost tour. It was all such a great experience. The food was delicious, the staff lovely and the history of Port Arthur was heavy, sad, shocking and moving.
It was interesting talking to the staff who all had their own experiences, which made for interesting conversations. It was freezing but it didn't deter any of us from being outside.

Great experience. Our tour guide was awesome and was full of good stories of this magical place. Well worth staying up for. In summer go to the 9pm tour. It is still day light until about 9:20pm.

More an after hours short tour. Our guide was alright and she told some interesting stories. I don't think it was totally worth the wait / night time drive. Had we chosen to overnight locally though it would be worth a look.

This is more of an afterdark history tour, which was still kind of cool. When talking about the unexplainable occurrences, it would be preferred to just tell the story and stop trying to convince us it's real by continuous assuring is "this is all reported." Just tell the story and let us, the participants, absorb and imagine.
Our guide was fast walking and kept the group together and engaged for the most part.
The most eerie moment for me was in the Rectory when standing in a circle in the dark room with the candle lit lantern on the floor I noticed a large looming shadow move from the doorway across the room behind the group, as if someone had walked around behind the participants but no one was moving at the time. Old George letting me know he was home.
It was an experience and a privilege getting to be on the grounds so late.

I will say I was absolutely floored how, despite numerous communication on the website, very few people were dressed for the inclement weather. Only a handful of people were wearing raincoats. You need a raincoat on this tour, people. This way, you can be fully immersed and not shivering wet.

I can not speak highly enough of this tour! Dave - our guide - was honestly one of the funniest and most exciting/thrilling people we had ever met. His theatrical ability captured us and scared some of us ? His knowledge of the site and its history helped us feel invested and captivated! This should be on your bucket list! Fingers crossed that Dave is your tour guide!!!
