What an absolute hidden treasure just beyond the Sunshine Coast! From the moment we walked in, the Pomona Gin Distillery didn’t just welcome us – it wrapped us in charm and whispered, “Get ready, this is going to be special.”

We wandered in expecting a simple lunch… and instead, found ourselves in the middle of a full-blown culinary love affair. This wasn’t just a meal – it was an experience, the kind you want to text all your friends about before the first bite even hits your lips.

We kicked things off with a liqueur tasting paddle – ginger, rocky road, and coffee. All were divine, but the rocky road was an absolute standout… dangerously good and hard to stop at just one!

Lunch took things to a whole new level. The Buttermilk Southern Fried Chicken Burger and the Parmi were nothing short of sensational. In fact, calling the Parmi the best ever isn’t an exaggeration – we honestly don’t think we could order one anywhere else now because nothing would come close. The chicken was so fresh it had to be organic – tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The chips? Perfection. You could tell they’d been cooked in fresh oil, crisp and golden without a hint of that old fryer taste.

The passionfruit and pineapple mocktail arrived dressed like it was ready for a red carpet moment – stunning and refreshing.

And the atmosphere? Spot on. Live music, a chic yet laid-back vibe, and dogs on leads adding to the charm – because everything is better when furry friends are welcome.

Would we drive two hours to come back? In a heartbeat. In fact, we’re already planning the playlist for the return trip. If you haven’t been yet, drop everything and go – this place is a masterclass in how to do it right.

Great distillery, even better food and music venue. We had the ploughman’ platter and dry and pink gin. Ambience is exceptional, we will be back for the smokehouse meat platter.a real gem of a place. Staff were friendly and service was great.

Quaint place with a really good cocktail menu.
Bonus art gallery, can bring dogs and the range of liqueurs for purchase is second to none.

Had a great evening here! Such a great atmosphere! We appreciated the open fires and the outdoor heaters. Food was a little on the pricey side but everything was delicious, especially the chips 😋 Service was prompt and efficient. Will come again if we’re back in the area.

The best night had..we were a bit rowdy, enjoying spectacular drinks, and brilliant food. When my family come from interstate this is our go to for a good feed. Atmosphere is great. Staff are fabulous laughed with us, never a dull moment.

Pomona Distillery is one of the best restaurants in the Sunshine Coast. Not only is their food absolutely delicious but the customer service is so good. The employees always treat anyone, everyone and everything with all their respect. Not only is the service and food amazing, but the fun and colorful atmosphere brings love, joy and soul to the restaurant. The countless areas and unique designs are unseen in any other restaurant and makes this restaurant stand out above all the rest. We always love coming to Pomona Distillery and every time we go it feels like a trip of a lifetime and going back to any other restaurant is just not the same after you've been to the Pomona Distillery. ❤️
