Recommended by a friend, our family decided to have lunch on a Sunday and it didn't dissappoint. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Food were delicious and serving was huge. Plus the place is dog friendly, we were able to bring our dog at the garden.

Great spot in the middle of what feels like nowhere.

Inside seating area is cosy & the outdoor section is pretty large.

Friendly & warm staff too!

I'd have liked a decent layer of garlic butter as it felt dry & dense with what we got. Saying that, the bread was warm, fresh & soft.

This pub in a paddock is an absolute gem. Blessed with a beautiful summer’s day, a Sunday’s drive took us past the Pig & Whistle signposts to Trentham East. Could not resist a look and called in. We were met by Maddie at the front door, and shown to a table in the beer garden in the sunshine. So very welcoming and super friendly. There were few tables left and the pub is clearly popular and family friendly, and everyone was having a good time. The duo ‘The Complete Unknowns’ were providing easygoing tunes in the background with guitar and flute. Nice. All the staff are friendly and seem to want to be there, and enjoying what they do…adds to a great atmosphere. Food comes out quickly and is really tasty with plenty of choices.

Good pub food, good prices and cocktails on tap. We stayed longer than intended and had a great afternoon.

Tip: Follow the signposts, the short detour is well worth it!

Amazing destination. Great atmosphere highlighting very friendly and prompt staff. Cosy open fire just the thing for these cooler days. I couldn’t go past a pub classic, Bangers and Mash. Delicious. Highly recommend this pub.

We were blessed with a beautiful day. And sat out in the beer garden next to the open fire. The area was beautiful decorated and full of beautiful greenery. The staff are absolutely lovely person and made sure we were happy throughout the time we were there.

Meals came out HOT & DELICIOUS! Generous portions, full of flavour and simply amazing. Left feeling full after trying the deserts, which I highly recommend you try all of them.

Definitely returning to this beautiful, laid back and memorable place.

We had a fantastic experience at the Pig and Whistle. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was amazing. They helped us find a great spot and the service was excellent, it felt genuine and relaxed. The food was just what you'd hope for from a pub, hearty and satisfying. It gave us a real English pub feeling and we’ll hopefully come back.

It's simply the best, better than all the rest!

Often when paying $30+ for a meal, it feels like a rip off. Not at this place! You get a big portion of high quality food, warm/cozy atmosphere, friendly service, fire pit in the beer garden and a pool table.

Top 10 meal of my life, 40 minutes away but I'll be back with any excuse I get! I put off making the drive to check this place out for far too long, don't make the same mistake, just do it!
