Slow service wasn't busy on a Monday and food choices ok Pizza was thin and crispy, tasted better I ordered a simple margherita no basil asked for it and waitress bought a bowl which was not fresh shrivelled and mouldy! Meals are average size not big portions disappointed!

I was a big fan of the old club, which had character and offered roast dinners on the cheap. The new club is quite pleasant, but lacks character. You need more than two fake olive trees for ambience. The underground parking is for members only. The food was nice, well presented, reasonably priced and a decent quantity. Service was fast and friendly. Toilets were modern and clean. The water dispenser on the bar is not tall enough to fill a pitcher. There is a small playroom for children.

Exceptional customer service and an overall lovely team. I highly recommend trying the chicken boscaiola dish and the bruschetta. I’m keen to try more dishes from their menu.

The new Chinese restaurant is very nicely styled and the staff are quite friendly. It’s a very comfortable ambience. The Mongolian lamb was my favourite dish and the duck fried rice was tasty too. For a more seamless experience it would be better if we could order directly with the waiter as opposed to filling out the sheet of paper, as this was a dinner session.

The Olive Bistro

They have a great selection of hearty meals. The portions are very generous and reasonably priced. Comfy seating and pretty decor. The staff are friendly too.

Note: at times there is some inconsistency in the quality of meals. The chicken burger and schnitzel is always made quite well but the Paris mash, seafood pasta dish and arancini wasn’t as great as the first time round.

Absolutely awful service from a staff member named CHRIS at the Italian restaurant bar. She was unbelievably rude and completely unprofessional. My partner and I were walking up to the bar, I had my 7month old in my arms and my partner was the one ordering. Out of nowhere, Chris snaps, “No kids at the bar.” I calmly asked, “Oh, even a baby?” — not arguing, just clarifying and instead of a polite response, she just walks away and start talking to her colleague.
We moved away, literally 10 meters back, just talking about what drinks we wanted, and next thing we know, the colleague /manager is calling out to us “No kids! Move away! Go inside to the bistro!” It was completely unnecessary and hostile.
When I eventually went back over (without my baby), she just stood there staring at me. No greeting, no courtesy. After an awkward wait, she says, “What you want?” like I was an inconvenience. I asked for two lemonades. As she made them, she held the cups right at the rim where we drink from and to top it off, she coughed over the drinks. Whether she’s just got a bad attitude or was actually sick, either way, it was absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.
Chris clearly has no sense of hygiene or customer service and shouldn’t be working in hospitality. She needs serious retraining on how to handle situations or maybe a new job entirely. We completely understand no kids at the bar meaning they can’t come up and order but it was our first time out with our baby at a club and we genuinely weren’t aware. Worst experience I’ve had in a long time. Avoid.

Absolutely love it! The food is very authentic, great portions and great prices. Staff are friendly - but what i love most about this place is the twins that work there. They are the absolute heart and soul of the place. We were there last night and, as always, they were running around busy as ever — but no matter how hectic it got, they both had the biggest, warmest smiles on their faces.

They’re so friendly, lovely to chat to, and just radiate positivity. We’ve told all of our friends to go to Petersham RSL just to meet them — they truly make the experience better every single time.

But honestly, everyone is always friendly - they just radiate happiness. They deserve much appreciation for what they bring to the place. The twins are amazing, and Petersham RSL is lucky to have them!

Unfortunately, our experience at Petersham RSL was very disappointing. The pasta dishes were completely lacking in flavor—bland and uninspiring. The cannelloni was shocking, the spaghetti bolognese somehow missed the mark entirely, like we called it below the average- we didn’t know you can “f***” up a bolo, and the carbonara tasted like plain cream with no depth—no parmesan, no egg, nothing. The chicken avocado pasta was the only okay dish, and the spare ribs with fries were fine but not served hot. Overall, not a meal we’d return for. All of us, left the food behind.
