We had the best time staying here, after staying at a hostel it felt like absolute luxary!! It was comfortable with a gorgeous balcony view of the river, local birds singing and visiting. The pool and spa were amazing and it was a nice peaceful experience, good quality and affordable! Highly recommend

BAD THINGS- The first (automatic) message received before arrival was a rude ‘please note that you will be charged $25 if you arrive after 6pm’, without even a ‘hello’, but whatever.- There's no sign on the road indicating that you're in front of the hotel: only once you get to the front desk, hidden by the column, do you see one, but by now you're there.- Arrived at 5.30 p.m., at reception, there was only a lady with a bag on her shoulder, ready to leave, who greeted us without so much as a smile and treated us as if she were doing us a favour: perhaps she would do well to consider other career options.- The hotel asks for a $200 deposit on arrival for any damages or room left "messy" or "dirty" (?).- The “resort” is only such in name: apart from a nice swimming pool, a mini gym, a tennis court and a sauna and steam room, it doesn't have much to call it such.- The doors are old, the paint peeling, the carpet in the rooms stained, the wifi works poorly in the room and not at all in the toilet of the same room.- The bathroom has no windows and no extractor fan.- In the room there is a ‘welcome’ flyer explaining that in order to reduce reservation costs, the rooms are cleaned EVERY SEVEN NIGHTS of stays, and that if you want, for a fee (3$ per towel, 20$ for complete cleaning), additional cleaning can be requested: these things should be indicated at the moment of reservation, so you can decide if you want to save money or have a better service. Moreover, the room on our arrival was not even very well cleaned, there was some rubbish here and there (not communicated at the moment for fear of "claims" on the deposit).GOOD THINGS- EXCELLENT location- the deposit on the card was released less than 2 days after check out- spacious room- large shower

Free parking is great. The room was clean. We had a queen bed which was comfortable but bouncy. A little kitchenette which was unexpected and very handy. Toaster stove, sink (no tea towel), kettle, cutlery and crockery were all included. Will be going back.

Excellent location—just a short walk to Surfers Paradise. The room is large and offers a lovely water view, although the furniture feels a bit dated. The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Budget choice (like half the price of nearby hotels) so wasn’t expecting much. Service was okay. Most facilities show their age and some dirt/corrosion here and there. Cleanliness was barely acceptable (when I dropped some water on the bathroom floor, the toilet paper I used to wipe the floor turned dark grey in colour…) Most frustrating issue was the hotel wifi, could barely connect with my laptop (watching YouTube videos at 144p was at its max) and couldn’t connect with my iPhone or iPad for the most part. But then again, it’s half the price, so I guess you win some you lose some.

We didn't expect our stay to be in such a wonderful setting. With tennis court, fantastic pools area with gym etc. we were on the 2nd floor with Riverview WOW. THE resort is totally central to all. Also the cost factor unbelievable not your normal Surfer Paradise $$$$$. Totally recommend

So I stayed one night at this place, I was a little concerned due to the reviews about there being mold in the rooms but thankfully there wasn’t any mold in my room. First of all this is my first time ever paying $200 for a security deposit and it was quite a lot (I did that all of that back*) I originally booked a room for $125 when we arrived at the place the room we got put in was NOT the room that I have booked so I went back down to tell them and they said they told me there was a “mix up” in the booking and they said they’d give me a refund for the difference of the room which was $25. They are screaming poor due to the fact they tried to scam me $25 by giving me a room that I did not book and tried to get away with it. And they sent up an extra bed instead of moving us to another room and the bed had prickles running throughout the bed. Please be careful. The manager there was really nice he answered all my questions I wanted to know but the lady at the front desk she was nice just her customer service wasn’t that great, when talking to her it made me feel like I was absolutely wasting her time. Just dead straight face no emotion, no smiling. Nothing.
Okay now for the good side of things.
The place itself is really beautiful the views were nice the pools were nice although I didn’t try the steam room and the gym. I would recommend spending a little bit more spending to get somewhere nicer.
