Stayed here for one night. Off-peak price was good and the location was nice as being in the Dandenong hills. Unfortunately, this place is far from a resort and more of a run down motel.

There were no staff after 4 pm and my room key was left in an envelope at the front reception despite having the option of a locked key box at the front of the resort. The room had a very basic lock and didn't feel secure.

The room is not sound-proof and you can hear other customers walking up and down the corridor the whole night. There were loud noises of people hooting in the courtyard till at least 1 am, which, was quite disruptive. Again, no hotel staff on site to monitor such behaviour. Hence, why this place should not be called a resort.

The sink in the bathroom had brown water coming through and the water taps were separate cold and hot at opposite ends. There was no way to control temperature in the room as the heater would not turn on. It was freezing cold (1-2 degrees Celsius outside) and no extra blankets were provided.

I would not recommend staying here mostly from a safety factor and lack of resources on-site.

Would l stay here again? Prob not. I would class it as an expensive backpackers and not upto to standard with facilities at that. Rooms are outdated small and ensuite well you need to shuffle past hand basin to get to toilet. It was noisy the night l stayed. Walls paper thin. Doors huge gaps to floor. Water pressure in shower non existence. Can only have hot or cold on separately to work and it's a trickle at that. Fridge available for guests is a 40litre so no way of putting even one item in. The only positives l can say is staff friendly and it was clean. It's a shame this place has so much potential but very outdated. Needs to be bought into current century.

Loved it. We had a super nice stay, the open fire place and the common space was really nice to hang out in, and the gardens are super special. It's quiet and lovely and I will go back for sure.

The budget room is very small, it has tea, coffee ect but you need to get water from the reception or bathroom, 1 power point is not good for the kettle, the only bed side table is to far front the power point, the 1 in the bathroom is usable if you put the kettle on the window ledge.
The $15 boxed breakfast is a bit of a let down but the staff are very friendly and offer advice on where you can go to eat out

Lovely surroundings, and peaceful but unfortunately I would not call it a resort, it's out dated. The off peak prices are reasonable but I would not pay more, no restaurant, no cafe' or bar, the rooms are very small the TV in the room is small and the bathroom is so small it is absolutely a joke, I think the bathroom on a cruise ship is bigger. Getting to the place its 10 minutes of gravel road from the main road, I suggest having a 4 wheel drive. I suggest if anyone is thinking of going here for some RR go during the week off peak as it is nice and quite, not on school holidays or on a public holiday also check if they are not having a function as the rooms are very close to each other and they are not sound proof even when one is walking along the corridor or playing billiards, also the outdoor pool should be cleaned and heated for anyone desiring to use it and the tennis courts needs attention to classify this place as a resort

This place looks far better in photos. Although the setting is beautiful, the actual hotel is outdated, smelly and uninviting.
Tiny rooms with the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on in a hotel. Not even a bar fridge.
Restaurant was closed on a Saturday night.
The whole building smelled like an old, dirty motel.
Unfortunately, we definitely would not return.

Location is spectacular, wouldn't call it a resort. Booked here for 10 nights while we did Jim's training. When we booked months ago they advertised a restaurant and a bar. Neither were available during our stay. Advertised as soundproof rooms, maybe if you're completely deaf. Not once were our sheets changed during our stay had to hunt someone for clean towels. Carpets are filthy and big rips/cracks through out. Resort/retreat is don't think so ... you can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. Would not recommend staying here.
