We contacted Oxley Travel only yesterday afternoon. Their response was immediate re our plans to travel to Lord Howe Island, my copious questions were answered thoroughly and every one of the ladies we dealt with was polite, generous with their time and friendly.

I cannot praise Oxley Travel enough. We booked a holiday to Norfolk Is pre Covid 19. Unfortunately we could not travel due to Covid 19. All staff that we had contact with were extremely pleasant and helpful. Never once did I feel I was being a nuisance. We were given extensions to our tickets but eventually due to Air New Zealand not flying there We have been given a refund. Also Thank you to Air New Zealand.

Our trip to Lord Howe had to be cancelled due Covid19 but Shelly had worked extremely hard for our group of 16 people. She was incredibly kind and helpful, yet there was nothing in it for her or Oxley Travel when the trip finally had to be cancelled. We will definitely re-book with them when it's possible to go to the island in future.

Very poor policy and nonchalant attitude when it comes to Covid related changes or cancellations. Other companies allow free cancellations if a client can't fly due to Covid. Oxley only offers change of date for accomodation, booked out until April 2022 anayway (and which in my case is useless, I won't be in Australia anymore in May 2022) and no refund for flight. In my experience Qantas has been generous, so what's the problem? So if you have to cancel after all they take $300 of your deposit and tell you that you will get the rest of your payment ($1300) back in 10 to 12 weeks....

We had a terrible experience with Oxley due to their ridiculous fees. We booked the entire family of 9 for flights and accomodation on LHI and I had to subsequently cancel just my booking. The fees they charge for cancellations and the so called fees that Qantas charge meant that from a $1200 credit on flights I only got back just over $600. I was actually better off getting a refund then re-booking through them due to their re-booking fees, I would have ended up paying more on top of my $1200 credit.
Due to the fact LHI is in the middle of the ocean and vulnerable to all kinds of weather means that flights get cancelled a lot, to the point where some travellers end up cancelling their entire trip which is where Oxley obviously make their money.
I would suggest using trip advisor and booking your flights and accomodation yourself.
