I took my daughter for high tea at Overnewton Castle, and it was spectacular! The grounds and castle are stunning to look out at and wander through.

We selected a verandah seat, and it was the perfect choice. There were only 2 tables out there, so it was peaceful and relaxed. Plus, we got to enjoy the views and breeze.

The food and drinks were delicious, and the staff were incredible! So attentive, polite, and helpful. They went above and beyond to make my little girl feel like a princess.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Highly recommend for a mummy daughter date or a romantic afternoon date.

GREAT PLACE TO CELEBRATE A SPECIAL OCCASION WE STAYED IN THE STABLES THEN FOLLOWING DAY HAD TOUR OF THE CASTLE WITH EMMA AND SALLY AND IT WAS LOVELY TO HEAR THE LOVE AND PASSION THEY HAVE FOR THE HISTORY OF THE CASTLE. WE FINISHED THE WEEKEND WITH HIGH TEA BY THE TALENTED STAFF.

I have enjoyed visiting this lovely, historic, Keilor mansion with beautiful buildings in a tranquil garden setting.
The first time, I took my mother for the mid- week high tea and also did the mansion tour. Very informative, interesting tour and the food was delicious. Last weekend I attended the Scottish Festival at Overnewton castle. Loved seeing( and petting)the baby "hairy coos", watching the highland dancers and piper's band and sampling foods from the Scottish stalls.

As a local, I've always passed the sign for the Castle along the Old Calder and wanted to visit. Love the idea of the midweek High Tea! Took my folks there today and they loved it too. I highly recommend doing the tour before the High Tea. It definitely added to the experience! Lisa is very knowledgeable and so informative about the history of the castle and the area of Keilor and surrounds. I learnt a lot and have a greater appreciation for the history of this area. They have done an amazing job restoring the castle, adhering to council standards, the National Trust and maintaining the grounds to be as presentable as it is and to be enjoyed by the community. Thank you for the experience 🙂

Christmas Lunch - 10/10 for Value, Food Quality, Location, Atmosphere and Service. Small Add Ons Free Drink, Bon Bons, Tea & Coffee and Trivia Quiz. I can't speak highly enough of this experience. Magnificent!!!
