Lunch dining. Female Bar staff very pleasant. That's where the pleasantries end. My spaghetti marinara was terrible. One large prawn which had already been cooked was tough, a couple of reasonable mussels and the rest of the seafood was the cheap and nasty marinara mix, the type used years ago. Any decent chef would never use this disgusting seafood mix. Soggy and fishy tasting, the type that leaves a rancid taste in your mouth for hours. At least when I complained I received a refund at my request. Partner's parmi was very "doughy", chips and pepper sauce were tasty. Will definately avoid this eatery in the future. FYI ... prices were above average 🤔

For the price the rooms are great, nothing fancy but worth it
The food in the bistro is excellent, you get a big meal and very reasonable price it gets a 10 out of 10 you won’t be disappointed

Lady at the front desk was nice. At first, the room was clean, beds made nicely etc. But i wouldn't suggest staying here if you need an aircon, its that old that it isn't capable of creating any cold air and cooling the room doen at all, just pushing around hot air. Theres black molk growing all on the bottom of the shower, but atleast the water pressure is there. There was also a few white tail spiders crawling around. Then come bed time, if you dont mind a complete rock solid bed, atleast the pillows are fluffy and thick. We shut the blinds and there was c*m all over the blinds, made me gag. Then our delightful neighbors were smoking points which was wafting in through the bathroom windows, not nice when you're heavily pregnant, then at 10:30-11 could hear thumping music keeping me up.
It's really a 2* hotel and not worth the price you pay to stay for the night with how nasty and outdated it is.
Only giving it a 2 star because it was "somewhat" clean and reception is nice.

Whilst visiting town we decided to go here for lunch. Roast of the day was pretty average, bruschetta was good. My companion ordered the garden salad. I've never seen a garden salad that had fetta and olives in it... which happen to be a few of my companions least liked foods. If they had thrown anchovies on the salad they would have hit the trifecta.

We use to stay in the overlander more than 24 years ago when we would travel to Shepparton for the annual spring Nationals.
Loved it then, loved it now.
