I chose to wait a full year as a customer of Outback HQ before penning this review, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their service across various scenarios - ranging from pre-sales to after-sales support, warranty issues, and servicing. My overall rating is a reflection of these experiences. It's important to note that this review focuses on the company's operations and ethics rather than the TVAN I bought, although some points indirectly touch on the TVAN. In terms of pricing, it feels a bit steep, but the quality of the van and usability is relative as is the servicing and thorough follow-up reports justify it (and my personal requirements). Over the past year, I encountered three issues with my TVAN; one wasn't covered by the warranty, but the other two were. Their handling of an urgent problem was impressively swift, despite their service schedule being booked months in advance, which underscores the importance of planning your service bookings well ahead with Outback HQ, especially around holiday periods (for example, booking in December for an April service). The customer service experience before the sale was transparent and non-pressuring, the handover process was excellent, and they went out of their way to ensure I had everything needed for the van, including setup and packing instructions and DEMONSTRATIONS and they did not mind us recording a video of it. Post-sale support has been reliable—they're always reachable by phone or email, responsive, and genuinely eager to assist, clearly differentiating between urgent issues and those that can wait. Based on these experiences, I would definitely consider purchasing from and engaging with Outback HQ in the future.

I’ve dealt with outback hq a few times over the last year or so. I originally purchased a Longreach LE back in 2022. The purchasing experience was great however we did have an issue with some items ordered that didn’t get delivered. The person responsible is no longer with the company. While it was disappointing, I understand these things happen and the team genuinely attempted to make right on the situation.

The Longreach had its service which was handled promptly and without fuss. They checked all items I requested and were very easy and accommodating with drop off and pickup.

My wife and I decided to change to a 2023 drifter. Due to our family situation. We ordered early 2023 and scheduled the Longreach to be put on consignment.

The team was easy to deal with during the transaction and Alan and the team kept me up to date during the process.

We picked up our drifter in June and was very happy with the product. Other then a little eyelet hook missing which will be fixed on warranty at first service, the trailer was perfect and the actual product very well built. Compared to the competitors. These things just feel sturdy and of quality. (Recommend the extended drawbar and redarc system as upgrades)

During our first trip and rundown. I noticed the reverse camera not working. I feel this could be a me issue more then the van issue. But Alan from outback hq was quick to get me information I could use to troubleshoot. (On a weekend too) So aftercare support from them is too notch when you actually need it.

I also noticed the redarc BMS needed some tweaking. Battery was set to 200ah not 240 and soc cutoff was set too conservative. A pro tip is that you need to modify both the BMS and TVMS for SOC settings. But again, not a fault with product. More something to ensure you check before you use it. I set my SOC cutoff to 20% and reconnect to 30% for those interested.

The team also sold my Longreach LE and had the money in my account within 24 hours. So overall brilliant experience.

I would suggest if you are looking for a CUB Camper to genuinely give this team a go. They have made big strides in customer service and I feel their past reviews do not accurately reflect the brilliant team they have working for them now.

I wouldn’t hesitate recommending CUB as a product or Outback HQ as a dealer to purchase your camper through.

I found the company and phone support excellent during a recent online purchase. More so due to an error on my end that needed sorting when I purchased on -line!!

Not much help. My Cub Escape 2019 has a problem with the 3 door zip splitting and the suggestion from your staff was to clamp the zips closed a bit to fix the problem. Tryed that, didn't work.
Also my Cub suspension is missing a weld on one side. Was just given an email to contact. Not much help.

I just had my second hand (12 year old) TOPAZ Murranji repaired and serviced by Outback HQ. The service team at Outback HQ were considerate and professional throughout this challenging repair. Although the process took a little longer than expected the delay was understandable and the result well worth the wait. I highly recommend this company and their products. Thanks again to John and the team, we are so happy to be back on the goat tracks with our tough little van.
