Donga accommodation on the edge of town. All a little dated and grubby buy possibly the best this town has to offer.|Not cheap but again par for the course I would think.|There is a pool which looked clean and the co.plex is a short walk to town and IGA.|The bed was clean and comfortable and shower hot so not much more needed other than not allowing the Management dogs barking at 6am every morning.

We needed somewhere to stay at Mount Magnet on our long drive home. This has one of the better reviews so we stayed here. The room is nice and clean, with small touches such as microwave, cutleries etc. It is air conditioned and even has Sheridan towels! The only thing we can suggest is probably firmer pillows and a hair dryer. ||Do note that this is basically a cluster of dongas just outside of the Mount Magnet - Sandstone Highway. The outside of the accomodation doesn’t look remarkable. There’s regular road trains passing by that you may hear from inside the donga but they don’t travel after late night.

Rooms are clean. Air conditioning is great. Tv worked fine. Nice extras, bickies, fruit etc. Staff are very helpful. Good nights rest before another big drive. Quiet and highly recommended.

Stayed a few days. Room 8 was nice and comfortable. The main door has frosted glass windows which allowed the carpark lights to light up the room at night. Hanging a towel up fixes the issue fine. Pool is a great welcome in the heat. Gladly stay there if up that way again.

Outback Gold is a mixed bag. Had a nice modern looking, comfortable sized room there 2 yrs ago. This time we were allocated a room that would accommodte a family of 5 but it was past it's best. The bathroom was very small and difficult to access as it was a small space with no door off the side of the main bedroom. It did have a silent, effective air conditioner which was a plus. The room (29 I think) had toaster, jug,cooking equipment and a small oven with hot plates, lounge, TV, sml table and 3 beds in the annexe. It was quite a challenge to unlock the security door from the inside. There is a pool onsite and a bbq just outside the room we were in, with utensils. CereaI, and a fruit cup were provided. I would stay there again but next time will ask what rooms are available.

I stopped for one night and couldn't have had a more friendly and generous reception. Got into the very comfortable unit with everything for a couple to stay longer. Quality linen and an excellent mattress made for a very restful night's sleep after a long driving day. A quick dip in the pool was very refreshing. A simple but filling continental breakfast was included and advice on where meals, shops, etc. was all offered. A great little oasis on my trek North.
