I’m from Melbourne, but McLaren Vale feels like my second home, as many of my favorite wineries are here. While planning today’s visits, I stumbled upon Ortus on Google Maps. Having never heard of it before, my curiosity led me to check it out, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. I highly recommend visiting!

Page, the winemaker, has an incredible and inspiring story, and her wines are simply remarkable. If I had to describe them in one word, it would be elegant. Each wine brings a nice and open bouquet, well-defined notes on the palate, and a delicate, gentle, round finish.

We travelled from Melbourne for a family reunion and stumbled across Ortus wines. Had the best afternoon with my husband and two daughters sampling some of Paige’s wines. After the warm welcome 😉 we had some lovely baked Brie and were treated to beautiful wines and warm authentic hospitality.

Amazing winery and I frequently visit!
Paige, Georgia and the team always make you feel welcome and they always have dogs visiting.
They have a large range of wines that are all very consistent in quality. It’s hard to pick a favourite when they are all good!
Really nice area to relax out the front too and overall it’s an easy going/friendly place to be.

Second vist to Ortus and it was just as wonderful as the last. Talking to Paige is like catching up with an old friend and between having us in stitches, she would pour us some beautifully made, delicious wine. So happy we've found a new go to so close to home in Willunga!

When we arrived we didn't realise they were closing soon, but Paige was super accommodating and let us try a few wines. I was really impressed with her genuineness, she came across as really passionate and knowledgeable about the wines. My wife loved the Cab Sav saying it was the best she's ever had. We hope to come back in th future and spend more time there.

Excellent wines served by Paige who is the winemaker and the best host. We were visiting from Melbourne and were turned away by nearby fully booked cellar doors. We drove into this new winery which is immaculate & best of all no bookings were required. There are no rigid wine flight tastings like most McLaren Vale wineries also. Both our daughters in their early twenties, my wife and I all had a fantastic time at this winery. This is our favourite winery here so far.
