I always enjoy these local history stories that change the lives of the local population by simply felling a tree to create a bridge to cross a river. Some of the original bridge is preserved for you to see with a sign detailing the story behind the bridge. There is good local parking and toilets (I think...).

Stunning! Great walks “Kid friendly” well worth the visit! Don’t forget to go under the bridge to the other side to see the actual old bridge. 🙂

Felt great to know about the history how one single tree was used to cross the river. Access restricted ?.

Would recommend to stop by if falls on the way, no need to come here specifically for this if don’t want to hike or photography.

Thanks.

If you’re driving past it would be worth having a look while you’re there but otherwise its a little disappointing.
We did a trail walk from the big 4 Kari trees to see One Tree Bridge, never seeing it before and were looking forward to exploring. But to be honest we were abit underwhelmed.
However the suspension bridge is pretty cool though.

Great place for a stop and look around, nicely preserved bit of history. Definitely worth visiting!

Flushing toilets, dog friendly and good river access for a swim, kayak or SUP...

One of those spots you usually drive past that deserves a look...

very informative. learnt a lot about the early settlers who tried to make a quick buck mining graphite only to find out it was not of the right quality to export. we enjoyed crossing the bridge and also the walk in the forest very much. very tranquil and amazingly peaceful as well. also nice to see the site well maintained in pristine condition. will certainly recommend this place to others.

Nice spot on the river. Walk down under the road bridge to see the original one tree bridge section. Continue the track to walk to the 4 Aces.

Nice stop for lunch. You come up on it pretty quick coming west. Toilets, plenty of seating and walking trails. Swimming pond nearby.
