Such a wonderful experience at the wallaby lodge. The vibes were great, and the staff were lovely genuine people. If you are a backpacker or traveling, this is the perfect spot! They have tours and wildlife (Aussie wild animals!) such as platypus, tree kangaroos, turtles and more in local areas. The location is good too. The rooms were a good quality and all the guests were nice, very respectful and tidy. Would highly recommend. Wish we stayed longer than one night.

Wonderful little hostel. Lovely areas to relax and also prepare meals. Great to stay in an eco friendly place. We stayed in a mobile double room; loved the open air shower (there were covered showers too, in case of rain). Was close to the centre of town. Would definitely stay here again; loved it!

One of the nicest hostels I've stayed at! Cute eco setting with a big kitchen. The private AC rooms are little self contained trailers. I do wish the outside showers were enclosed I stead of open roof, as it rsined when we were there. Lots of wildlife, beautiful location.

The room was comfortable enough, though, even with the door closed it was very noisy.

The large tour group that visited in the evening limited the use of the common areas during that time.

The staff were friendly and the common areas were clean.

Convienent location to local hiking areas.

From long chats to sharing meals to early checkin to everything else these two ladies are critical to the success of this hostel. They drive a caring and respectful environment and pride in cleanliness and attention to detail is one of their key priorities. Don't go pass this wonderful 5 star hostel..I've stayed here b4 and everytitme it's the staff that drive my quality stay. Until next time ladies...keep cooking those delish..ONIONS!!!

Very friendly and welcoming. Great vibe with an indoor outdoor vibe. Big garden with fruit trees and herbs. Rooms are comfortable and great temperature. They had everything you would ever need in the kitchen. Super close to the platypus viewing platform (we saw 3 at dusk) and the grocery store. Yungaburra is also super relaxed and close to many fig trees and waterfalls. Would definitely go back again 🙂

I found the price the greatest feature, that you can work away from home at an affordable rate, also the staff i met there where good people, very bonafide, of good intent. |That would be my first choice when looking first budget accommodation.
