Stayed here for 2 nights. Lovely place to stay if you feel like staying somewhere peaceful, secluded, rural and farmyard.

This place is quite close to Vasse so like a 7 minute drive to Coles and Macca’s so not far from civilisation.

The house itself is clean, has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and lounge room. The house comes with all utensils and stuff for the house. The host also has provided things like shampoo, body wash, tea & coffee facilities and also their free range eggs. The only thing is that the TV is not hooked up to the antenna so you won’t be watching TV not that you need to.

Love how there are cows roaming around and provide something to see. The open spaces on the lawn and surrounding areas is great as well. The only thing is the flies will bother you during the day. Over all was happy to stay here. Thanks for the memories!!

we were here for a weekend, with family of 4, 2 young kids with us. it was a very pleasant experience. cottage was very well kept. it was clean and had all the amenities. the farm and dam were accessible as well so we could go for a stroll anytime we wanted. there was a good collection of animation movie cds which kept kids busy. fire place was lit for us which kept the cottage warm. hosts were lovely and very welcoming. we were given complemtary half a dozen of fresh farm eggs which was like cherry to cake. would definitely return.

Last weekend, we joined our friends and enjoyed the wonderful accommodation at Olive Cottage, Douglas Road Carbunup River.
This 2 bedroom cottage and the adjacent one bedroom Mulberry Cottage have only recently been built and both enjoy marvelous views over the host family's dam on their working cattle farm.
If you are lucky the cattle sometimes visit the fences surrounding the cottages but of course this is dependent on which paddocks host sufficient foliage for the growing herd When we visited there were 11 very young heifers recently born with more on the way.
The cottages face due north and due to their distance from towns like Busselton and Dunsborough, on a clear crisp night the night skies provide a fantastic galactic showpiece.
The cottages are close enough to Vasse (circa 3 kms) for any last minute shopping needs. But importantly they are a very pleasant drive almost in all directions to the wineries of the famous Margaret River region. If water sports are more your scene- head to the rugged beaches along the regions coastline for a surf or paddle in the protected waters of Geographe Bay. The region has everything1
This was a wonderful weekend, spent in excellent accommodation. We highly recommend the cottages for a very pleasant, very quiet, but extremely interesting stay.

Have stayed in Olive Cottage several times and were so pleased to discover that there is now a new baby cottage next door; Mulberry Cottage. Olive Cottage is 2 double bedrooms each with en suite, Mulberry has 1 double bed, and all the same facilities; ensuite, kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, BBQ and secluded patio. Both cottages are spotlessly clean. The views over the farm and dam are amazing especially at sunset. Great for photographers. When we were there in the winter John lit the fire for us making the cottage cosy and warm. There is also now free wifi. Very helpful owners live in the farm next door, and we have to mention Duffy their very friendly black labrador.
