Fantastic modern lookout, with information boards, seating, shade, and beautiful natural planting. No toilets nor bins.

Beautiful spot at the side of the road for some great photos and stunning views. There's a wheelchair ramp pathway or steps to get to the bottom of the lookout, and the more notable feature was the wonderful smell of the flowers on the walkway at our time of visiting. There's a small bench under the shade at the bottom of the lookout, and parking is at the side, off the main road. Definitely worth stopping off if driving through!

Can't beat a water view near sunset. This lookout also has a well landscaped picnic area below it, near the water's edge (Lake Hume was 99% today)

Worth a stop if you're in the mood for a little local history. The lookout is well maintained and peaceful when on the lower levels. There is also access to the local railtrail here if you're in the mood for a walk / bike ride. There is some seating dotted about too, and some of it is covered.

Worth a quick STOP

to check out this historically significant landmark.

The Old Tallangatta Lookout is located on the Murray Valley Highway only 10 minutes drive from the township of Tallangatta and is the perfect place to stop and take a photo, have a picnic or stretch your legs.

The lookout offers amazing views over Lake Hume and the old Tallangatta township and the views are not to be missed when Lake

Hume is at full capacity. Located along the High Country Rail Trail makes it convenient for bike riders to stop here to have a break and take out the camera for a few snaps.

Old Tallangatta Lookout offers parking, two picnic tables (one of which is undercover), information boards, a garden and access to the High Country Rail Trail.
