Arrived at Motel to check in only to be informed that our room has flooded booking cancelled as no other room available I was told that I was informed but that was untrue as there was no missed call

So hence due to the long weekend no other property had a Vacancy
End result we had to go home. We where there to celebrate a birthday and Anniversary with friends

Check the Terms and Conditions BEFORE you book at this place!! That's if you can ever get hold of them! The hotel is breaching Australian Consumer Law by not have them readily accessible on their website. None of the links work for the T&Cs. They are not listed on their website, nor on their booking page, nor in a confirmation email. ILLEGAL!!!!! They don't issue refunds, despite us notifying them FOUR DAYS BEFORE ARRIVAL that one of us had COVID. They never respond to emails or phone calls - how rude. How they remain in business beats me!
Actually, we know how they stay in business and make money - having people book, despite no T&Cs available, then keeping their money when a cancellation is requested! What a rip off merchant!! We lost our $230 for the 2-night stay we'd organised because they refused to refund us, despite the 4-day notice, when they could have (perhaps easily) had another booking to fill ours, made by suckers like us!!
I'd also suggest you read the numerous NEGATIVE reviews - BEFORE BOOKING, which I didn't unfortunately ?‍♀️! If I had, I would not have made a booking at this seedy dive of a so-called hotel! How they can classify themselves as a 3-star hotel is beyond me - must be a joke!! They shouldn't even be in business!
If you do book and end up staying - good luck! Hope you come home with all your belongings, and hope you aren't sick from unhealthy, unclean rooms.
I will NEVER EVER EVER BOOK again or STAY at this place. Thankfully I haven't had to stay but it frustrates the hell out of me that there is no recompense!

This place was awful for us. We didn’t expect much for the budget price we paid, $150, but we expected clean bedding, a cold tap you could turn on in the shower, a toilet that flushed properly and a clean room. This place is the worst we’ve stayed in a long time. The cobwebs all over the sign that faced the road should have been a giveaway on the drive in. The shower only had hot water ( how to save in water bills, only so long you can stand in a shower where the water is heating up constantly, dangerous for kids) , the bed cover was full of dust, my daughter’s bunk bed on top had no railing and her sheets had stains on them. The room smelled of something… we suspect that the clean between guests was not thorough, to say the least. Do your health and wallet a favour and find somewhere else.

I've worked in hospitality and travelled around Australia and stayed in a bunch of places, even working in a roadhouse on the Nullabor, so I've seen nice places and not so nice places.
This is a lovely wee place, stayed 4 nights as was travelling around the area's with my mum. Price very reasonable, rooms clean, beds comfortable and shower was 5 stars due to great water pressure. If you're hungry, the Ocean Crest Café is again very reasonable priced. Can agree best Fish n Chips in the Victor Harbour area. The only cons I can come up with are what personally I prefer, so won't say as unfair as we all have our personal preferences.
Unfortunately everyone can have a different experience as you can tell from reviews. But like I said, my experience had no issues and the staff here are very helpful. I didnt have any of the problems others have had. So I can only tell you my experience.

Dont think you'd like to see photos of the room after I've un-made the bed, got dishes drying on a towel and wet towels hangin up in the bathroom. So I wont.

So I'm adding on to this as it wont let me do a 2nd review. Just want to say how awesome the staff are. They are just amazing

It was cheap compared to other accommodation in the area, and in a good location, yet I won’t be staying again. The carpet was unvacuumed, the bathroom sink looked as if it had never been cleaned, bugs were flying around like an airport, windows were broken, and the smell of tobacco would emanate through the wall while the neighbour was smoking a ‘ciggy in their shower. Additionally, the permanent residents were ‘seedy’ and made us feel unsafe. I would only recommend staying for one night if you really needed to save money, otherwise, cough up the extra $ and stay elsewhere. We saw the owner briefly when we checked in, but after that we never saw him or any staff again.

Spent one night only booked for 2 adults &2 kids. Dirty carpet at entrance, quite a bit of dust on window sill &table which needed wiping . Only 2 towels provided requested more. Some of the crockery &cutlery was dirty & random amounts 2x mugs, 2x glasses, 2x plates no forks ,1xknife, 3x spoons , 3xteaspoons don't forget I booked for 4 . Pillows stained , no top sheets on bunk beds, quilts were so thin thankfully it wasn't a warm night .Tv not working after some time trying to locate a remote for it. Room in need of some TLC &I realise it's only a 3 star rating but there still has to be a level of cleanliness to adhere to.
