This is a nice place but it is pretty much your average country bowling club with no real stand out features. The atmosphere is pleasant enough and the staff were all nice but I had to knock a star off for the excruciatingly annoying country music which plays incessantly through the tinny speaker system. Even though it was freezing cold, as Oberon usually is, I had to brave the balcony to read my book and escape endless songs about how my gal, hound, or four wheel drive just left me. If you like to chew straw this is definitely the club for you.

Poor food quality and taste, though the portions were large. I ordered one thing but received something else. No salads were provided until I asked.

First time back to the Club after the new caterer took over the bistro! Reasonable pricing compared to others in the area I've seen overall. Quick and good service, easy menu . will update once the food comes out.

Update: Definitely still worth the 5 stars. Was not expecting the large portions but hey, who's gonna complain. And it's not like the larger portions were there to sway away from average tasting food, large portions, good taste, good variety. Is it good value for money? In the area it seems to be. I will recommend the Garlic Chilli Combination and satay chicken.

Honey Chicken and sweet and sour porks were good too, can recommend them. Definitely choose the Special fried rice over the normal fried rice, comes with prawns and chicken . If you're looking for more traditional Canton style, definitely dig into the menu and try things you haven't before, you can never go wrong. Definitely will come back next time when we visit Oberon again. Thanks Kenny !

Always enjoy coming here, but the only downside is the pizza. may I suggest investing in a better pizza oven and less crispy thin pizzas? Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great location. Here's hoping that locals and tourists can keep supporting this local club.

Wow, really impressed. Been over 12 months since I last ate here and there has been some massive improvements since. The bistro area looks refreshed and inviting.

But the food has improved so much. Large meal sizes, heaps on the specials board and excellent steak 👌 😋 👍.

Will be coming back more often if it continues to be this good. Well done 👏 ✔

Lovely atmosphere. Staff at the bar are welcoming and friendly. Bistro menu would benefit from 2-3 vegetarian options that have more protein than vegetables and rice and can be made vegan if required (e.g. plant-based schnitzels, adding tofu to stirfries, a veggie burger, pasta with a vegetable sauce etc).

As a tourist exploring the charming town of Oberon today, I decided to dine at this restaurant despite stumbling upon some concerning past reviews. I’m thrilled to report that my experience was nothing short of exceptional, especially with their steak—a true highlight of my trip!
Contrary to past complaints, the staff were attentive and gracious. When I mentioned being a first-time visitor, the manager personally ensured my meal met expectations.
As a Sydney foodie, I’m shocked—this place defies small-town stereotypes. Don’t skip the steak OR Mongolian chicken!
