This is fabulous accommodation. Roomy and comfortable with great ocean views. Staff very helpful. Easy parking. Great facilities near by. Restaurants aplenty, supermarket, bottle shop. Great lagoon pool across from accommodation, but unfortunately it was too cold for us to swim. Sadly missed the Sunday markets this trip. They are a must if you are there of a Sunday.

This hotel is in a great location. The hotel is modern, clean and the customer service is excellent. To wake up in the morning and see the sun rising over Moreton Island and the bay from the big balcony was really impressive. The restaurant below the hotel was well priced and had a good selection of food and drinks. I would highly recommend this hotel and will most definitely stay there in the future.

The best place to sit down relax,and have breakfast or lunch. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The best place to get a table overlooking the water. Menu was good. Parking was easy. Very clean. Have been here a few times one of my favourite places to visit.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Horrible Wifi connection. Misleading advertisement information.

I thought sharing my experience may help others avoid staying at the wrong place, especially when you are travelling with old people 🙂

My dad and myself arrived around 9:00 pm tonight, before our arrival, the lady at the reception kindly told us their working hours are up to 10:00 pm over the phone. After our arrival, the reception lady told us where the parking lots are (noting by no means at this point the lady told us it was first come first serve 🙂 so thanks very much).

Only a very small area on basement 2 was provided to hotel guests for parking their cars. Myself and my old dad drove to basement 2 and found no parking space available anymore so we went back confirming with the lady 🙂 and yes, she was not at her desk. No one was there.

We called her to confirm and she just said there’s nothing she can do, and she suggested us parking in a public car park somewhere outside etc 🙂 so thank you that’s very helpful. And I then said “I’m travelling with my dad who is in his late 70s, and he needs direct access to the hotel room. What’s more, when we booked, the information provided just says ONSITE PARKING IS AVAILABLE. Had you mentioned parking is not guaranteed, I wouldn’t have booked this hotel at the first place”. The lady insisted there is nothing she can do, whilst she totally “understands our frustration”.

(please see attached screenshot for reference, I consider this information being misleading and confusing. If parking could not be guaranteed, it should have been cleared noted on the website rather than being advertised as one of the “highlights”. I consider myself being misled by such information and hence lost the opportunity to make an informed decision and spent money which I wouldn’t have otherwise spent. If they continue doing such advertisement, maybe ACCC needs to be notified.)

After a few minutes of going back and forth over the phone, she finally said we can park on basement 1 but we will risk our car being towed away and our room key just wouldn’t give us access to basement 1 because only the staff can have access to that level and they wouldn’t be around 24 hours 🙂 how helpful that could be!

It was 9:36 pm when we asked how long she will still be around so at least we can get her assistance to swipe her card and get down to basement 1 to grab our luggages, and for whatever reason she just said “14 minutes” - please note it was her who told us reception would be open until 10:00 pm, I just wonder why it ends at 9:50 pm and where she would be for the last 10 minutes, especially it was quite clear that we needed her help? I tried to explain that my dad has got luggages and because of his age we will need some time to get everything upstairs if she is around during her working hours until 10:00 pm, SURPRISINGLY SHE DID NOT LISTEN AND JUST WALKED AWAY BEFORE I FINISH TALKING!!

At the very end, we rushed to get everything up in 10 mins, my dad was extremely tired after that 🙂 thanks very much OAKS!

I would not stay here by any chance, and would highly recommend avoiding staying here 🙂

By the way, their Wifi is horrible, the landing page does not normally pop up - in our case, it occasionally popped up once but then gave us the error message saying it cannot be connected lol!! I had to call the internet service in the mid night but still cannot resolve it.

By the way, we paid around $310 per night, it was not cheap at all considering the room and service etc, we could have made a better and more wise decision had we known how the hotel was like and how their staff behave 🙂 My personal and honest opinion was that the lady who served us tonight was a bit rude in the sense that she didn’t listen and just walked away while I was still talking. We loved our stay. Not long enough. Very clean Just a musty smell when we arrived. Opening up doors solved that but might need to clean the drains in bathroom to fix that issue. Otherwise wonderful

Great price and location, nice as staff and our updated 11th floor 1 bedroom Waterview suite was epic!

Highly recommend.

Also if youre staying here and want a massage (as in a hard out thai therapeutic one) we highly recommend Sunshine Thai Massage, which is 200m down the road!
