We had a great few days at the Oaks, the swim out rooms were awesome, beds were super comfortable and dinner at the restaurant is highly recommended the food was really lovely with generous servings.

Added bonus was shops were in walking distance to get snacks and drinks.

The only negative were having to get pool towels from reception, only one coffee pod provided for a 3 day stay, and our complimentary bottle of wine was forgotten so we had to ask for it.

Facilities were great they have a lap pool and sauna as well as a tennis court.

The noise early in the morning and very late into the night was the low to this trip. Light streams its way through the bedroom shutters so if you like your bedroom dark, bring a mask. Shade and lounge seating by the pool was lacking and would be worth reviewing. Laying on the grass is fine but the distinct lack of any real shade wasn’t ideal. The restaurant food was excellent, although dinner prices were on the high side. The staff at the complex were great! Pleasant and very helpful with both fast check in and out. The staff are what made a tricky stay better. Location is great too with just a very close walk to the shops if you need anything.

Our family recently stayed at Oaks Port Stephens for two days, and it was truly an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

We originally booked a room with a plunge pool, but due to a last-minute cancellation, the team graciously upgraded us to a swim-out room at no extra cost. This thoughtful gesture made our trip even more memorable, especially for our kids, who absolutely loved spending hours in the pool.

The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and conveniently located, making it a seamless experience for us to enjoy the pool and relax as a family. The property itself is stunning, offering a tranquil and luxurious atmosphere.

A huge thank you to the team at Oaks Port Stephens for making our stay so special. We can’t wait to return and create more wonderful memories. Highly recommend for families looking for a fantastic getaway!

Rooms were okay and the pool was fun. Tennis court was fun as well and free with racquets and balls provided.

Gym was not good. However overall was initially a fun environment. Very family friendly.

However all went sour when there was a power outage for multiple days and nights and the staff could not care less to communicate anything to us or see if we were okay or needed anything. They then told us we could have been given a refund if we checked out on the first day of the power outage, which we were not informed of until the day after, and that this was no longer an option. Eventually the rest of the town had regained power yet the hotel was still dark. There was also a handyman/worker in the room below us using a chainsaw at 7am-8am multiple mornings in a row, making it hard to sleep.

Huge lack of service given the price, I think I saw maybe 1-2 staff other than receptionists during our entire stay.

Came for an enjoyable experience. The hotel was nice for the first couple days however after a storm came on all the power went out which is understandable and not their fault. We expected the power to be back soon as most places have a backup generator in these cases. But we spent 2 days with no electricity and during this time, no one came to check if we needed anything, torches, candles etc but when we questioned the receptionist on this we were told that they didn’t hand out candles in case of a fire starting which is also why they don’t have barbecues. We weren’t asking about barbecues we just needed a light source so that we could see in the dark hotel room. We were told on the first day of the outage that the power would be back at 12pm so instead of asking for a refund on the day, we decided to make most of the situation and try to enjoy our holiday, but the power never came back. We also tried to bring this up with the receptionist and she said that we could’ve gotten a refund for the day if we came to her before before 12pm, but we were told that the power would be back at 12pm so we thought there would be no reason to leave yet. Overall the initial joyful holiday experience was turned bitter, this was furthered as every other building around the resort had power shortly after the initial outage when we didn’t.

We had a great stay over Xmas and Boxing Day 2024 - me, my wife and my mum - in a dual key apartment so we had two separate apartments. My wife loved the swimming pool and swam around the entire loop for exercise.

Most importantly, we are extremely grateful for the service and thoughtfulness of the cleaning staff and reception (Chalice on the desk) who found the things my mum had left behind. We phoned up from Sydney and all the items had been safely put aside so we could get someone to pick them up later.

Wow, I love it highly recommended the rooms with pool access from balcony this is my first time here i can easily say this will become a regular holiday spot for me
Place is beautiful and amazing. Staff are all very kind, a big thank you to Chris doing the night reception such a lovely man and a great help 🙂

WOW, what a lovely place this is. We have never stayed in a resort like this, and we are really amazed at how nice it was.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa with a private plunge pool, which was really nice. The rooms were large, and the beds were comfortable.

The lagoon is fantastic and nice to swim around with our children and then relax in the warm spas (3 different spa areas around the lagoon).

We played tennis and I used the steam room. There is a gym and a lap pool, but we didn't use these.

I highly recommend staying here, especially when it's warmer weather.

The only negatives were inconsiderate people who used the spa at 6.45am, which woke us up as one of our rooms was close to the spa)
