I have been traveling to and from regional NSW to the Central Coast area for many years now and the NorthConnex tunnel was used on the last three of these journeys.

On average, half an hour of travel time has been cut from each trip when we have used the tunnel. The constant non stop traffic flow has seen a marked fuel saving on each occasion.

On our last trip we were surprised to hear tunnel traffic condition announcements broadcast on the vehicles radio when travelling through, a good safety feature.

I found the approach to tunnel entrance points clear and easy to follow. Plenty of advanced visual signage leading up to tunnel entrance lanes with added road surface markings as well.

On average travel time through the tunnel is around seven minutes.

Value for money? Absolutely.

Poor in heavy traffic southbound traffic has 3 lanes jamming into 1. Bad design. Extends the trip by another 10 to 15 minutes. Fine when not busy but very expensive.

I'm happy driving this section, avoiding so many traffic lights and traffic. Worth every $. If only there was a tunnel all the way to the Shire.

Google maps recommended M11/ North connex to save 5 minutes approx. That cost me 23.09 all up, giving the road companies and (the government no less) the impression I am earning around 275 dollars per hour.
Comparing the current cost above against the rate/hr ($) you earn, or value your personal time at, vs how much time (to nearest minute) you should saving if there was to be a mutual time benefit by using the road system: $20/ 69 mins; $40/ 35 mins; $60/ 23 mins; $80/ 17 mins).

Not happy we were charged $29 twice 😒 beware if you're towing that is what happens Hills 2 and North connex. It's difficult when you're on the pension. ONLY NSW.

North connex, entrapment zone during roadworks, 80 down to 40 in a blink of an eye. Not only getting their tolls but also infringement fines catching truck drivers out who cant slow down that quik. If you're doing roadworks, close tunnel and use PH road

Always getting trapped in these toll roads. Was never planning to use it but poor signage and not enough time to change lanes got me trapped multiple times in these toll roads, and there are not enough exits. Second time paying for a long detour I never wanted. Thanks NorthConnex.

Don't use if you are an interstate traveller with a caravan. I found out after I used it that I am getting charged the same rates as a B-Double - was very expensive way to save a few minutes, totally not worth it.
