We had lunch on a Saturday at noon. don’t know if 1981 is part of Barooga sporties or not. It’s definitely not the same standard of food. I ordered a steak came out between 2 pieces of toast. The steak was so tough I had trouble cutting it even with a steak knife. The chips were greasy and salty and obviously the frozen kind. I could have made the same thing at home. There was nothing special about it and I could tell there was no “love” in the food at all. The 1981 restaurant itself is far too loud (music) making it impossible to socialise. The staff were very nonchalant. I’ll be sticking to the sporties evening bistro menu. Also there is no diet drink to buy. Thus means diabetics have to get water.

ate dinner there tonight lucky it’s the kitchen last night open there we got a stake sandwich that was dry n tough as a leather boot n cold egg was cooked on a dirty pan n had black grim on it the nachos where soggy n tasteless pizza was like cardboard but i must say the bar staff where on point ?
