Nightcap at Archer Hotel - Nowra, NSW

This motel is associated with the Archer Hotel next door. It is surprisingly nice. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was included in my tariff - not a continental breakfast, a PROPER breakfast. A buffet of bacon, eggs ,baked beans, sausages, mushrooms, toast, juices, the lot.
Staff were friendly and professional.
It really was a surprise just how good this place is.
Your motel key gives discounts at the pub bistro and bar. What's not to like.
This definitely isn't what I was expecting and based on my experience I would recommend the place.

Surprisingly very good rooms that seem to have been refurbished before . For our family of 2 adults and 3 kids in the family room which had the adult bed in a separate room . Large bathroom , great selection for breakfast and good location near soccer field where we had to play .

Perfect Stay.
Stayed overnight for a wedding in Merribee. Hotel staff was very helpful and accomdating. Assisted in getting a earlier check-in time, making the trip from Sydney easier and convenient.
Room was spacious and had all the required amenities. Pool and Gym was a plus and the included breakfast was a life saver after a night of wedding celebrations.
Definitely recommend staying at the Nightcap at Archer Hotel for events in Nowra and the surrounding area.

We visited on the Australian Day long weekend and stayed for 2 nights.||We're a party of five (2 adults 2 kids & a senior) and stayed in one room/suite. There's a bedroom (a double bed for 2, desk, small wardrobe, TV). There're 2 single beds, a sofa bed, small dining table and kitchen area so didn't have much room. Things were tidy and clean (basic).||We liked the buffet breakfast. There were hot food (scrabble eggs, bacon, sausages, baked tomatoes, mushroom with spinach), cereal, bread, milk, juice. We got a few drinks cards that can be used to get coffees or drinks (from the pub nextdoor). Very hardworking staff cleaning out used dishes from tables.||The pool was quite deep (around 1.5m all the way). The tennis court a bit worn out. There's also an indoor squash court. We borrowed tennis rackets and basketball to play.||Overall acceptable.

I really enjoyed this place. It had been a while since I was in Nowra last and what impressed me most was that we were running late into town (after dark), this hotel called and they said 'no probs at all, just go to the pub next door and they'll give you your key'. We got the key easy and they offered a free drink plus 10% off for dinner. Double Score!

Rooms are big, cosy enough.

Even a simple and nice breakfast buffet was offered (bonus as we weren't expecting it).

We also asked for a late check out and they said yes :). Plus they buzzed us shortly after leaving saying we left something behind (wife's hairdryer). Went back to get it and all was sweet.

Very impressed - loved the country vibe.

I had a really pleasant few nights at Nightcap Nowra.||The hotel has this 'motel' vibe to it, but there is a semi-tired looking swimming pool, tennis court, and BBQ pits available.||The room was large, clean, and pretty comfortable overall. The bathrooms looked nice and modern. No real issues with anything.||I really liked how there was a parking space basically outside each room, that was reserved just for you. It makes finding a parking convienient spot guarenteed, unlike other motels/hotels I've stayed at.||I found the 'service door' at the back of the room a little strange, where you had to put your Do not Disturb sign under the back door. But otherwise did not have any issues with that.||There was also two seperate WiFi connections available for guests, each with their own passwords, and both available to guests. However, you may only know of how to login to one or the other, depending on which welcome sheet or guest booklet you read first. ||I also really like the included breakfast, which was very fair for the price paid. The breakfast also included some hot food such as bacon, baked beans, and sausages, which was very pleasant to see.||Downsides? The beds are way too soft, and the bar carpark area next to the hotel looks a little sketchy at night.||Overall I had a really great stay. And would come back on my next visit to the area.

The only good thing about the hotel was breakfast. On the first night staying in the hotel reception knocked on my door at 10pm to check I was parked in the correct parking spot, which I was. As a female staying alone with my 2 children that were woken up by the knock, I was very un impressed. All night guests we smoking and talking outside the room, not the hotels fault but it was awful, it smelled like someone was smoking in the room. In the morning I called reception and asked if it was possible to be moved because I didn’t want another night breathing in second hand smoke. I was told they were full and they could do nothing as the guests were smoking in the room. We swam in the pool that was cold but good, then had a great breakfast. We left the hotel around 12.30 where I popped into reception to check the room was being cleaned and we would get fresh towels as we had been in the pool. I was assured we would after waiting 10 minutes to be served at reception. I have just got back to our room at 9pm to find the room has not been serviced and there are no clean towels. I called reception who told me they would get them to me in 10 mins, 30 mins later and still no towels. Worst hotel stay in a long time. Cannot recommend it.

Room itself is basic but clean and fine. At 9.45pm reception came down to knock on my door (which woke up my kids) to check if my car was parked in the right spot. (Which it was) Not necessarily the hotels fault but should be allocated areas, someone smoking outside the room all night was revolting. Not great value for money, service was average and the traffic was noisy.
