Nick's Restaurant Bar & Pizzeria - Yungaburra, Queensland

We’ve visited Nicks twice now during our stay in Yungaburra and we have really enjoyed it here. Lovely staff, and very cheesy pizza! I had the Yungaburra pizza which was very tasty. On the second visit I tried the macadamia pesto linguine which I also recommend. Nicks has a family friendly, rustic atmosphere, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area 🙂

Got stuck in the side room which also functions as the kitchen (behind a veneer) so for most of the meal we were breathing in disgusting smoke and smells. No music or atmosphere, just a very loud kitchen; you couldn't help not having to overhear their very loud crude conversation. Asked to move once a table became available in the main room (which is quite nice with music and a bit more atmospheric). Ordered, my pizza came out about 15 mins before my partner's Würst & spätzle. Not the end of the world, but you'd think one of the many front of house who walked past would have picked up on the fact that we were sat there with only one meal for that long. Thanks to the kitchen hand (bloke with the long hair) for realising (only helpful staff member). Pizza was pretty average, spätzle was nice. Found chicken on my pizza (capricciosa) which was pretty disappointing. Told the manager when he asked how everything was and he said he'd pass it on - nothing in the way of an apology though. This is the only time we were asked how the meal was - though other tables seemed to have some more attention. As we were finishing our meal we finally got moved to the main dining hall (there had been empty tables for quite a while at this point - one of which was the one that we were finally moved to). I say "moved" we had to move all our plates, glasses and tableware ourselves. We weren't asked if we would like desert or at any point if we'd like another drink which was a bit disheartening, our plates were just taken and we were expected to head up to the counter to pay.

Not the worst meal we've had, we just think the kitchen & FOH could do with a bit of direction. It's a lovely premises but the service and food fell a bit flat.

Despite having several large groups and being understaffed, they found a lovely spot for our group of 7. The atmosphere leaves you thinking you're in a quaint chalet up in the snow.
We were impressed with how quickly our pizzas arrived, and were not disappointed in the flavour. The vegetarian pizza was our favourite!!
The food was reasonably priced and there was a great variety to choose from.
While waiting, they even had some games for the kids to play.

Pasta and Pizzas were fantastic! Food was fast. All 6 kids were wrapped with the kids menu. We were there for happy hour ? great cocktails too. Sat outside. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Went for a pizza, could not believe how good the quality of the food was! I had the Carnivore and everything looked like it was made from scratch. With the ingredients, they were balanced and light, the pizza base was incredible!

This goes for the apple pie and the gelato too!

And the Long Island iced tea was brilliant too!

Cannot recommend highly enough, thanks guys!
