Opening the front door to the entrance one is greeted by fetid, stale air. The sense of the space was of a run down hotel that has seen better days. Our room had a cheap old mattress, pillow cases with tears and the bath room looked nothing like the one in the photos. See attached.For the money paid we expected substantially better. Suffice to say we will not be coming back.

My husband and I checked into the Pegasus Motor Inn at Hamilton, Queensland. When I walked in it looked ok but once inside I could not turn the aircon on as the remit was broken. On further inspection it was discovered that the main and only light in the main living, bedroom area was not working. On inspection of the Deb side lights, on one side of the bed the light fell off the wall and the wires were visible. The other side of the bed was no better. It had no light in it and was like a limp handshake. We rang the Motor Inn to complain and was assured the caretaker would come and fix everything. He was on site. 10-15 minutes later when no one came I rang again. After a further 15 minutes and no caretaker we were very disappointed. My husband rang again and was left hanging on a dead line for 10 minutes. We decided to leave and rang reception to inform them and told them we needed a refund. We were told that was not possible. I took photos and videos of the disgraceful room and left. Still no offer of a refund. Not good enough.

If only you could give minus stars.

I got to the hotel only to find their is no reception and that you have to wait to get a text message with door codes only to walk up to my room and open the door to find blood on the roof and blood and Bodily fluids on the blanket.

I called the number provided on the front of the building and got a call back from a “manager” who seemed unfazed and told me if I wanted a refund I have to leave right away so it could be cleansed for resale. 0 out of 10 disgusting place.

Accomodation was cancelled on us a week out from going after booking with Port Stephens Acccomodation due to owners wanting a longer rental period after accepting our booking 6 months prior. Refund went into an old account and they have not been helpful to retrieve my money. All in all a complete waste of time and money dealing with this company. Stay away from them and you wont get dissapointed

My family & I booked a one night stay and thankfully that's all it was. Positioned in a great location in Newcastle, conveniently close to beaches and town & helpful staff, however do not expect much from your room or anything else for that matter. As soon as we entered our room, it smelt of cigarette smoke which seemed to be seeping through the bathroom vents. From there other issues followed:
Bathroom light didn't work, had to call handyman.
Aircon didn't work properly.
Food wrappers found in one of the single beds and no fitted sheet used.
Brown smear on the sheet beside pillow on the main bed.
Month out of date supplied milk in the fridge.
Paid $20 for secured parking to have someone take up two spaces, called reception to resolve and first suggestion was to refund our money and park on the street with metered parking.
Unfortunately a big let down and wouldn't recommend.

DO NOT BOOK ANY PROPERTY ON STAYZ OR AIRBNB THAT IS MANAGED BY THIS COMPANY:

We booked this house for a friends getaway weekend when we arrived there were a lot of issues.

Starting with the arrival experience (or lack off!), you are supposed to go to a shipping container 2km out of town with over 500 lockboxes to collect the keys. So many flaws with this system, first you have to download an app that they send you a link for (hoping there is phone service), then you put a code in to open the front door, then you need to scan your phone on the lock to open it. Our lock was not working as the battery was flat so we could not open it. We called for help and had to wait for 45 minutes before we were met at the house by a security guard with the keys. No apology all he said was ‘i was asked to bring the keys to the house do not know why’. We wasted 1 1/2 hours on this and we were left standing in the cold outside the house waiting for the security guard, still no apology!

Then the rest of the issues:

1, Linen was dumped on the living room floor (towels and sheets) in plastic bags for us to then split up and place in each of the rooms and make our own beds.
2, No WIFI, how is this possible when everyone has WIFI (cafes, restaurants, hotels, apartments, etc)
3, No welcome letter or compendium explaining about the area, facilities on-site, etc we had to work this all out ourselves.
4, Dirty toilets
5, Leak in one of the showers, so water went all over the floor and we were not given any floor mats.
6, NO heating in any bedroom and it was freezing dropping below 5oC at night
7, Old and rusted furniture
8, Musty smell in cupboards
9, Cobwebs in very easy to reach areas
10, The steps leading to the house are very small and uneven top a very steep hill, not suitable for young or older guests.

I sent a number of messages via Airbnb messaging and no reply. I then called twice on Saturday to ask for more sheets as we only had single and a couple of double sheets not enough double and asked about other issues. They could not find my booking as they used an incorrect surname then blamed me for that, I explained the booking is in my name from my Airbnb profile, so how can it be my fault? I was told we will deal with this and speak to the property manager, I never heard back from anyone over the whole weekend.

When you look online this management company Alloggio has a rating of 1.4 / 5 clearly a lot of major service issues. I would not book this or any other house that is managed by this property company, as they are a joke and need to seriously work on their policies, procedures, and standards.

Avoid this company! Do not use them!

We had our reservation cancelled the day it was due to start. The cancellation on their end was not made for over 6 days, despite being told it would be made the same day. This meant it took well over a week to get our money back.

We then ended up having to increase our budget to get somewhere to stay at such short notice, with additional stress of sorting this the day our holiday was due to start. Despite all of this we were blankly refused any form of compensation or subsidised booking for the trouble caused by Alloggio.

The accommodation we ended up staying at was also booked through this company. There were further communication issues when one of the Alloggio team forgot to send us our check in details and had to be reminded again to do so before she finished for the Friday. Whilst being clean, there was no cable connection the DVD player to the TV or batteries in the TV remote amongst a few other things that gave the whole environment a very unprofessional finish.

Over Christmas we booked to stay in an apartment in Nelson Bay managed by Alloggio (2/22 voyager close). Upon arrival the apartment was filthy dirty and had not been cleaned properly including old food bits in the fridge and drawers, filthy microwave, dirty tissues in the bedside tables and windows black with dirt. We contacted alloggio on the day we arrived asking if someone could come to clean the flat.

That was now two weeks ago and we have still not heard anything from them despite numerous emails, a review we left on their website which hasn’t been published and response to their automated emails asking for feedback.

Due to the lack of response, we left the apartment 2 days into our weeks stay and returned the keys. Christmas was ruined and alloggio are yet to acknowledge anything... avoid at all costs!
