Needed to rent a hitop lwb van for a last minute move over the weekend and the team here really looked after me with great customer service and good banter.

It was so easy to book the service. Staff were very friendly and informative. We booked the truck for our house moving. My wife was nervous than me as I was driving the truck for the first time however, she thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I highly recommend Newcastle Car and Truck rental.

Spoke to a guy on the phone early in the week to organise a tipper for the weekend. Arrived early Saturday to be told they have booked the wrong truck and had no more tippers available. I was very disappointed.

Excellent service! Always great priced, reliable vehicles and no security bond required! Today I was given a brand new bus- Toyota Hiace - with literally only 11kms on the clock and here I was expecting the same great bus I hired 6 months earlier but got a wonderful surprise to be the first to hire the new baby! Travelling with 9 children for 2 weeks will be in comfort with thanks to Newcastle Car and Truck Rental. Thanks boys, see you in 2 weeks!
Update.... This bus has been amazing to drive, excellent on fuel and is so easy to park! Absolutely loving this bus, I wish I could buy my own but for now we will be booking again for October 2020. Still on holidays with it, returning in a few days 😭😭
Update 01/03/2020.... Returned the bus today to be bombarded as I pulled up and had Robert walk straight to the driver's side decal and started to inspect which caught my attention, and another young bloke took the keys to check the fuel. I hadn't taken my kids out of the bus or their seats, I had only just turned off the engine. I quickly went to see what Robert was running his finger along and instantly saw a scratch on the driver's side a few inches below the panel decal. It was not there yesterday when we returned home, I have looked at my video footage from this morning when I was happily getting ready to write a blog.... I am assuming it has happened at Thornton Shopping Centre carpark as there was no car either side when I parked but when I returned there were cars either side. They knew I was travelling as a single mother with 9 children and on a tight budget. They didn't even ask if I had to do a filter clean which was emphasised on when I picked up the bus.... The bus disappeared off the lot before I walked out the office and I wasn't able to get a photo... The scratch is not from another vehicle, it is cosmetic and currently I am being charge over $1500 to fix it! They wanted me to pay in full today. I couldn't, I could only pay $50 today on returning the bus, the $50 that I had intended on using to book again, which they understood and accepted. So I am still yet to pay $1490 which once the bus has been fixed, I will be refunded whatever it didn't cost....
Update 03/03/20: Matt called today and settled on $200 for the scratch and has allowed me to pay the remaining $150 over the next 2 weeks. I must say that I am impressed with their genuine customer service, understanding and kindness. Once this has been paid, I will be booking again. Thanks Matt amd team at Newcastle Car and Truck Rental!

I've used their trucks a few times for moving and can't fault them. The hydraulic lift is a lifesaver for moving fridges and other bulky goods!
The office team are friendly and explain how to avoid idiot taxes (not refuelling the truck, tolls, fines, etc) & reminders are kept in the cab as well

They walk you around the truck and both the team and yourself take photos of any pre existing damages; an amazing change of pace from some car 'rentalz' that try to gouge you for pre-existing damage

Easy pick-up and drop off, great value, great experience
