My partner & l & a doggy on board had a delightful lunch here today....a charming relaxed setting overlooking the river with a choice of tables in sunshine or under the dappled shade of established trees ....the garden is glorious:)
We had the prawn brioche, home grown mushroom dish, & the tempura eggplant...all were great, but the eggplant is an absolute killer dish!
Can't wait for their liquor license to pair with many of their dishes?
A simple yet interesting, made with love.
And love that they grow a lot of it themselves.
To top it off a super nice owner & staff.
Pop in & support them!... they have only just begun & are doing great things ?

We stayed here the night before our wedding and loved it! It’s gorgeous and filled to the brims with charm! The gardens are gorgeous, the house is breathtaking and the host, Pat, was worth her weight in gold! She made us feel so welcome and special. We can’t wait to stay again and recommend it to our friends and family!

We stayed overnight on a Saturday night and we're the only guests. The restaurant was closed and our hosts suggested the RSL for dinner which was pricey for a club.||||We sat on the verahadah drinking our wine overlooking the bridge. Our hosts were hardly seen except at breakfast when Richard provided everything we needed...cereal, toast and great coffee. The beds were very comfortable and had Avery quiet night...no traffic noise at all. The ambience is dark and a bit mysterious. Not sure why the property is up for sale so quickly as present owners only been in place for about 6 months. Compared to all the other accommodation in Kempasey this is a little different and you may enjoy the experience. Ensuite tiny but well set out. There is aTV in room

What a beautiful house you have, so tastefully decorated and a great location in Kempsey overlooking the river.||The rooms are gorgeous and comfortable and even fitted in our two boys as well. They were very accommodating even with our two boisterous boys, and Jasmine made sure that we were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you! Also the breakfasts were beautiful on the verandah. A great spot.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. I was the first ever guest of the new owners Bobi and Richard and had an amazing week-long stay while in town on business. With beautiful Victorian-era rooms (with complementary port and Belgian chocolates!) stepping out onto a deck overlooking the river, Netherby House has a wonderful other-world feel I absolutely loved. ||Richard is an ace in the kitchen, too, and I really enjoyed his and Bobi's company over a glass of wine by the fire. This place is a hidden gem in great hands.
