We took overseas visitors and we all had a great day. Our driver Daisy was extremely accommodating and altered the itinerary to suit the clientele on the tour. Would thoroughly recommend a visit to the unique destination of French Island.

Victoria’s best-kept secret, surely! We’ve lived in Melbourne for 17 years, but never visited French Island before. Our Melbourne friends know so little about it.

So last Sunday, as a birthday treat, we booked onto the Naturaliste tour. Amazing afternoon - And really informative about the islanders working as a community to fix their own roads and operate their own refuse tip and protect the wildlife, etc.

We really enjoyed our trip, and told all our friends about it, and will definitely be back for the Nature Walk.

Wish we could have seen more and ventured up into the National Park (is this possible?), but we loved the beach near the winery, the jetty by the island’s vehicle barge, and of course the lunch at Mandalaye Park property.

Slightly confusing confirmation email said to get the ferry at Stony Point at 11am, but the website and email heading said 12 noon. Slight panic as we were driving up, but 12 noon it was! Ha ha! Lovely ferry ride over.

What a fantastic tour we had with our guide Adam on French Island. Adam had a great knowledge of the islands birds and wildlife which he shared with us in a lot of detail. We had a lovely lunch at Mandalaye Park Estate. We then spent some time going around the farm. There was the koalas, peacocks, peahens and lots of Cape Barron geese. The host shared a lot of good stories and info with us. This tour is highly recommended. You see and hear about French Island at its best. Great value fir money. Thank you Adam for a great day out.

Thank you for a beautiful day on the unique French Island. Our tour guide Scott was very informative on the history and wildlife of this extraordinary island.
Cecilia and her husband welcomed us into there venue, Mandalaye Park warmly and gave more information on the island and its residents.
There was a large amount of Koala freely enjoying life around the property, providing excellent photo opportunities.
The ferry over started the adventure on the right foot, what better way to escape, Phillip island during summer.

What an amazing experience it was today at French island. Massive thank you to Scott, the ferry crew and everyone who was involved in making our day magnificent. Celia from the Mandalaye Park estate your place is beautiful so is your food. Lois and Alan for your most interesting and educational tour around the property. Local shop and of cause all the koalas who posed perfectly for for photos and all other animals

Joined a group yesterday (27th August 22) to visit the island after a 13-year absence. It was a perfect day weather wise as well as the actual experience. Adam who conducted the tour shared his vast knowledge of the island and showed us as much of the island as he could in the time that we had available. Highlights of the tour were an excellent lunch in a very delightful setting as well being able to see some of the wildlife that included: Cape Barron Geese, Koalas, Swans and numerous other species of bird life. It’s a very unique place, affords excellent views across the bay to places like San Marino and Cowes, it feels isolated yet it’s so close to other major tourist attractions. Well worth taking the short ferry trip to the island and joining Naturaliste Tours – highly recommend.

A disappointing tour that wasn't at all reflective of what was advertised. From the get go, the vehicle that we traveled on was a big tour bus, not the 4WD that other reviews (and website) show. Possibly our tour was overbooked? But I'm guessing this also meant we couldn't drive much off the main roads into more interesting areas.

We spent nearly the entirety of the tour on the bus, getting off twice to take photos of koalas. All other viewpoints and landmarks were only briefly pointed out by the tour guide, Scott, as we drove past. No stops for viewpoints, lookouts, or historical sites as the website states.

Lunch was brief and sweet. The host family had a homecooked baked potato meal waiting for us when we arrived. A glass of wine was also available for folks. We had the chance to see some more koalas here, in their backyard in the oak trees.

Glad we at least got to see some wild koalas, but the tour was not at all what we thought we had signed up for. All the previous reviews look very good though, so perhaps they recently changed how the tours are run. Very disappointing and would not recommend this tour to others.
