Great place to visit when going to Canberra, it was unfortunate that the Captain Cook Memorial Fountain wasn't turned on though. Overall the city's model was cool to look at.

I enjoyed this museum a lot more than I expected. It’s small, but well designed and jam packed with great information about the history and layout of Canberra. This was one of our first stops when we visited the city and it was a great introduction to Canberra. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable and the museum is free to visit. The views outside are also amazing, as is the nearby Commonwealth Park. We were lucky to visit at the same time as some school groups as we were able to see the interactive presentation over the display model (I think this only plays when school groups are there, which is a shame). Overall, a short stop, but definitely worth the visit!
