I thoroughly enjoyed a quiet, peaceful walk through the beautiful Himalayan Cypress trees. The meandering paved pathways make it an easy walk a d wheelchair friendly... wonderful to see that the physically handicapped are catered for.

The views of Canberra are great, and the kids are catered for with a lovely themed playground, with lots of different activities.

The restaurant was buzzing and the coffee was good.

A real bonus is the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection which is housed next to the restaurant and souvenir shop. The Bonsai trees on display are spectacular, and I was amazed at the oldest tree... a Box- Leaf Privet dating back to 1880!

I loved this visit!

I recently visited the National Arboretum in Canberra, and it was an absolutely remarkable experience! The vast, beautifully landscaped grounds are home to a stunning collection of trees from around the world, offering an immersive and tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The visitor center is well-equipped with friendly staff who are more than happy to offer guidance and information about the various forests and gardens. The views from the top of the Arboretum are breathtaking, with panoramic vistas of Canberra and the surrounding countryside, which make for some incredible photo opportunities.

I particularly enjoyed the variety of walking and cycling trails that cater to different fitness levels, making it easy to explore the expansive grounds at your own pace. The Tree House Playground is a must-see for families, with its innovative design and fun activities for children.

The Arboretum’s commitment to conservation is truly inspiring, and the guided tours provide fascinating insights into the history and purpose of the project. One of the beautiful places in ACT, from where one can see 360 view of Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

It has over 100 (currently 94)different rarer and endangered tree gardens . It’s good outing place for nice walk and beautiful views and closer to the Telstra tower.

The area has nice cafe where you can have coffee and enjoy the scenery.

Plenty of parking and free entry definitely makes this place not to miss spot while you are in Capita city.

By far my favorite place in Canberra. It’s so beautiful and I never got tired of going here. The view is amazing. I recommend going here around sunset time. Beware of the very strong winds up here. Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s any public transport that passes by here. So, you can only go by car here.

Beautiful place to visit, whether you're a local or a tourist. Haven't been here for a few years and things have grown! Fantastic playground, a gorgeous outlook and a cafe to feed the multitudes. Great facilities and heaps of parking. Didn't have lunch this time, although the menu looked good. Just had coffee and cake. The coffee was mediocre but cake was nice.

It is really nice in the Arboretum. You only have to pay for parking and if you want to eat, pay for food as well which is a reasonable price. Make sure to bring an extra layer with you, it's quite windy. Also, enjoyed flying a kite there 😄 It's so fun and just calming.
