This is a couple-team restaurant that is trying to do probably a bit too much with limited resources. It can get busy quickly.

It's surprisingly spacious inside, tastefully decorated, if perhaps a little cold in the winter months. It's a BYO, but there are some bottle shops close by. They also do a few mocktails that are different from the usual fare.

Disabled access is very good with lots of parking close by and no steps. The spacing between tables is also excellent.

The opening hours are quite short, only three days a week, so check before you visit. Apparently, they have some popular cooking classes here on other days. Prices are reasonable, perhaps a little low, for the location.

Unfortunately, this is where the good news ends. The meal quality here is sub-par, and by that, I mean below the quality of a much cheaper pub meal.

The issues here are that the meals are over-engineeeed. The presentation of the meals is excellent, but the reality of eating them is not.

Imagine a pasta dish so overloaded with shells that you can't put a fork into it or the most amazingly crispy fried chicken but without the taste and barely any chicken

I want these guys to succeed, so hopefully, if some time has passed since this review, they will have found their feet. Guys. Use at least 50% less oil than you're using and get some spices involved.

Your serving sizes are fine, perhaps even a bit too large. More meat and less batter. Take your clams out of their shells and your tails off your prawns. Go for simpler meals that are higher in taste and lower in preparation time.

I wish you the best of luck. Remember, as a restaurant, taste and the overall experience come first.

Gluten intolerant friends rejoice! Finally a place where we can eat Mac and cheese croquets and southern fried chicken! This place is amazing, basically the whole menu is gluten free. Service was great and price was very reasonable. Plus its BYO and there’s an amazing little boutique wine cellar around the corner. Worth checking out if you’re in the area.

We tried and loved this place during lockdown, and it's only better eating there in person. Amazing food, friendly service and a buzzing vibe! Make sure you try it!

I attended a pasta class this evening and could not recommend it enough! Ash and Nick (the owners) are so friendly and personable, they make you feel right at home. It was such an informative but relaxed class, I left there feeling more than confident to make pasta at home! I haven’t visited the restaurant on a normal trading night, but it will be my next date night spot as these guys know their food and flavours. The service was more than 5 star and I look forward to attending one of their pizza or gnocchi classes next.

We had a lovely dinner with the team at NASH. Food was fresh, tasty and presented really well. The staff were attentive and helpful. I would recommend the fried chicken and the lamb shoulder as well as the baked Alaska. It is a small restaurant (they’re a team of 4) so prepare for a slightly longer wait for food, but trust me it’s absolutely worth the wait!

We just had an awesome dinner here. We sat outside with our dog, and they brought out a bowl of water for him. We grabbed a delicious bottle of wine from Upstairs Wines just up from Nash as its a BYO restaurant. We had the garlic prawns, halloumi, and gnocchi. All so incredible. The food was amazing and the owners are lovely. Highly recommend - keen to check out the pasta making classes here too.

Please do not make the same mistake we did going here. This restaurant which is really two people (including the chef) trying to run a business is not worth any of the 5 star reviews that others have given. We sat for dinner and the two main meals we ordered took an hour to get to us even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy (maybe 10 other people). Strange place to say the least and the meals were hopeless and expensive. Tiny portions and overcooked meat. We had called beforehand and the lady on the phone had said that they were out of alcohol but we should pick up something from the bottle shop before we got there if we wanted. Come to paying and she says there is a corkage fee which was never mentioned on the menu or to us but she kept saying it’s all over the website and we should have known. Would not recommend this place. Only one single fry pan on one single stove place and everything is sitting in batches on trays waiting to be plated when people order. Should not even be considered a restaurant.
