We recently had the privilege of booking a boat trip with Michele to celebrate our dad’s 70th birthday, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, Michele went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine passion for what she does made the entire process seamless and truly special.

Some of our most treasured childhood memories were spent on the water aboard our old Halvorsen, Lady H. Being able to take our dad back—back to the boat, back to our favorite place at Coasters Retreat where we spent countless weekends as a family—was an experience we will cherish forever. This trip was more than just a celebration; it was a beautiful tribute to the moments that shaped us.

The boat itself is in immaculate condition, a testament to Michele’s dedication and care. Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and easy communication made planning effortless, allowing us to focus on what mattered most—reliving those precious memories with our dad.

I booked Kangaroo as a surprise birthday present for my partner, Phil, who has been painstakingly restoring his own 30’ Halvorsen for over 5 years, which we hope to have in the water this summer. I had hoped he would be inspired by what was to come for us and the present delivered in spades! We had the loveliest time out on Pittwater for two nights and 3 days - relaxing and enjoying the peace and tranquility that this waterway offers with Phil spending quite some time inspecting all the clever ideas Michele has applied to her boat noting a few to apply to ‘Birdie :).

Kangaroo has so much charm and character, as only a timber boat has, and Michele’s many thoughtful additions like tea, coffee, olive oil and other items like the fairy lights! … just add to the whole delightful experience.

The boat itself was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably maintained, providing the perfect setting for our adventure on the water.

Our host, Michele, was an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped on board, she made us feel welcome and ensured that every detail was taken care of. Her knowledge of the area and her passion for boating shone through, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our 4-hour cruise.

Exploring the stunning bays of Pittwater was truly breathtaking. From secluded coves to picturesque beaches, every stop offered something new to discover. We particularly appreciated the flexibility of the itinerary, which allowed us to tailor our trip to suit our preferences.

Overall, our experience with MV Kangaroo exceeded all expectations. We cannot recommend them highly enough for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Pittwater from the comfort of a luxury boat.

Where to begin!! Michele is one of the most professional, diligent and organised person we worked with for our wedding. She went above and beyond on every detail, depth checking, weather, flag rigging (with Ian) etc. Kangaroo is such a beautiful boat with so much history (ABBA filmed a video on it!)

If you are after a charter boat with a professional crew, look no further!!! 10/10 🙏

Fantastic 5 days on Kangaroo with the kids and some friends for the day. I have hired boats out before that were slightly bigger "cruiser" type of boats, however the layout of Kangaroo provided just as much space and even more easy entertaining space. The kitchen space has plenty of storage for food and the fridge/freezer offers ample space for 5 days of groceries etc. Michelle has kitted out the boat with very detailed manuals and information making it fail safe for those with no or little boating experience. Highly recommend for couples or families. Definitely booking again soon.
