Well this is my third year in Myoko with the MV crew and I’m going to book my fourth tour very soon. Zac and Andge run an amazing inclusive tour. They are both awesome humans as well as providing a great service. They provide knowledge about the best ski runs, hidden powder stashes , and they leading in the apre ski area is pretty amazing too. This year saw four days of guiding / lessons and the best snow I’ve ever ever skied in. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this for anyone looking for a truly amazing riding experience in a hidden gem of Japan.

This is my 4th tour with Mountain Ventures and I keep coming back. Highly recommended this tour as everything is well organised. And Zac is always willing to help before and after the tour, which makes it stress free for first timers to Japan.
The family run ski in ski out accommodation is located on the Akakura kanko ski resort and is short walk to the Myoko Kogen village. Where you can find amazing food, hot onsens and small bars with less crowds.
If you are looking to progress your snowboarding or skiing skills, ride in Japan's famous snow and tree runs this tour is for you.

"Fantastic"
Good Fun, Great Snow and Good People...
I can't speak highly enough about Zac, right from the start he was friendly, enthusiastic and made me feel welcome. He introduced me to the other tour members at our accommodation at Villa Mon Repos which was comfortable and in an excellent location, ski in ski out.
The tour itself was amazing, well organised there was nothing we had to do, restaurants were booked experiencing some of the best local food you can eat. There was nothing Zac wouldn't organise for the group from great onsen locations to picking us up and dropping us off for the best crapes you have ever tasted.
Zac and the instructor's local knowledge of the resorts in the area is amazing, every day pre planed and contingency plans in place they took us to the best powder snow and tree run locations on the day.
The snowboarding instruction I received was great always challenging enough to keep progressing and gain in confidence with the intention to maximise my time on the tour. I got to ride the best lines ever.
I would recommend MV Tours to anyone, Zac is amazing tour operator, I had the best time ever...

My MV tour of Myoko was awesome. First of all Zac was a fantastic host, he made all the necessary arrangements to ensure I wouldn't have to worry about anything other than having a good time. Being my first time in Japan, I would not have seen or done a fraction of the amazing things I got to do without Zac's knowledge of the region and local contacts. His effort to ensure everyone in our group was having as much fun as possible didn't go unnoticed, and this is obviously why he has so many people returning to do his tours year after year.

Myoko is an amazing place for skiers and snowboarders and having an instructor to show you around means you really get the most out of your time there, I was able to snowboard through untracked forests, into natural half pipes, hike back country tracks and much more thanks to our awesome instructor Shannon.

As much as I loved the snowboarding, I was so pleasantly surprised by how good the food was on tour. The dinners were a real highlight of the trip with each one being a unique experience and once again it was so easy as Zac had pre arranged everything so all I had to do was enjoy the amazing food. I especially loved how the dinners allowed us to try a whole range of different types of Japanese cuisine and how the majority of the restaurants were small family run business's which made for a great atmosphere with our group.

Lastly, I really enjoyed the company and comraderie of my fellow tour members. I had a blast trying to keep up with them on the mountain and it was awesome to come back after a big day and play some cards before heading out for dinner and some drinks. It was awesome watching some of the more experienced members snowboarding and great to see the progression through the week of the beginner and intermediate riders. In summary, MV tour of Myoko was an absolutely amazing trip and one I definitely plan on doing again. If you're considering a snow trip to Japan and want to make the most out of it, I would definitely recommend doing it through MV.

"Amazing Time"
This was my first and definitely not my last tour cannot speak highly enough about what Zac provides while on tour.
The accommodation has all the features and facilities to make it very comfortable and was always clean, warm and all requests were fulfilled in a happy and polite way.
Trying different resorts made the time on snow enjoyable and having guides/instructors who knew which runs and lifts to use made it super easy and well organised.
Zac is calm and professional and made all the group feel welcome and included which is perfect for a diverse group in this environment, well done and thank you
Overall the Mountain Ventures tour was First Class and I will be back.

I have been on 6 snow progression tours within MV and couldn’t recommend them any higher! I always finish the tour feeling more confident and comfortable and able to tackle steeper more challenging terrain. MV caters to all levels of snowboarders/ skiers and will have you a more capable rider at tue end. I have experienced other tour companies that just want to take your money, drop you at your hotel and that’s it, MV tours are fully guided on and off the snow! Definitely worth your money for what you get out of it.

What an AMAZING AMAZING trip, best money I’ve ever spent! If you’re single, a couple or a group and looking for an amazing ski holiday with no stress, unbelievable on and off piste skiing with guides and instructors each day, exploring different mountains each day by private bus, a few free action professional pics, eating at different traditional restaurants each night with lots and lots of laughs, Zac is your man!!!

Thankyou Zac, your communication and layback nature with guests made the trip go off without a hitch. The accommodation was perfect with traditional Japanese hosts, so very grateful for the experience

Mmmmm, what did I love the most about Japan 2023 tour? …….You gave me an experience of a lifetime that I will never forget! My skiing has improved out of sight as it was in an environment I was able to step outside my comfort zone. Thankyou Zac I had a blast ? until the next time

A phenomenal tour! I can't recommend it enough. Run by Zac, a passionate, energetic guide who goes to every length to fulfill your snowboarding dreams! We boarded in completely different terrain everyday, ate a different kind of food each night and had some ridiculously good times. I'll be back next year, can't wait for more of that Japow!
And I’ll never forget that time in the onsen where Eddie accidentally put his arm around that random local dude
