We visited Umm Restaurant and had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a starter, wine, pizza, and dessert. The venue itself was absolutely lovely—a beautiful building set within a stunning winery, offering gorgeous views. Everyone we encountered was kind and welcoming. Our host, Harry, was especially polite and respectful, making us feel right at home.

We tried their Merlot, which was excellent, and we’re keen to return and explore more of their wines. The prices were also very reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise.

Our only critique is that the tiger prawn pizza included chorizo, which wasn’t mentioned on the menu. Since chorizo is a key ingredient, it should have been listed—we wouldn’t have ordered it had we known. That said, we didn’t raise it with the staff and decided to eat it anyway, though others might feel differently.

All in all, we truly loved the place, the staff, and the food, and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you again for a lovely day!

Beautiful venue, gorgeous outlook, delicious food, amazing service and lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

My only suggestion would be to have a railing for the stairs. My elderly mother couldn’t manage the steps on her own as there was no rail.

We came for lunch and a self guided wine tasting and it was fab. Really enjoyed the experience and the food was nice too. Gave it a 4 and not a 5 due to the cost for wine tasting (a bit high in my opinion) and the meatballs were dry, unfortunately. Other than that enjoyed and would return for lunch and try the pizza.

We visited for my mums 70th birthday and we had an absolutely wonderful time!
The property was incredible, the service was flawless (mum was acknowledged as soon as she walked in, offered champagne and was treated like a queen) and the food was absolutely fantastic.
We all had a fabulous experience and were raving about lunch all the way home. Seriously, some of the best service we’ve had in such a long time!
I would give this more than 5 stars if I could and we are already planning our return. Absolutely worth the drive to this fantastic property!

We celebrated the wedding of my daughter and her fiancé. The entire experience was exceptional. I would like to thank Elisha and her team, especially Steph for making the entire experience so memorable. From the ceremony to the reception the staff were professional, friendly and attentive. The newlyweds elected for roaming canapés through out the night and the food was superb, continuous and abundant! The location was perfect which only improved the ambience and experience for all. I would highly recommend Mt Macedon Wineries for any celebration large or small.

Popped into the winery after lunch in Woodend. Great location. Staff were amazing, especially the woman at the entrance,l that helped us to order the wine tasting platter. Wines were delicious in cool, funky surroundings. We would definitely come back again.

Had a wonderful Sunday afternoon lunch yesterday 6/07/2025 - drove my 92 year old mum for a day out from Boronia to Mt Macedon - staff extremely friendly and as mad Tigers fans we got to meet Dylan Grimes - who was a wonderful host and spent some time chatting to us and posing for photos. The food was superb and very generous portions - we had slow braised lamb ribs and wagu pasties for entree - eye fillet and duck for mains - with some chat potatoes and home made bread on the side. Some wineries charge a fortune and you walk away hungry - not here as well as the outstanding quality we were very content! As for the wine - we had a bottle of the reserve chardonnay - one of the best I have tasted in years if you love a buttery oaky chardonnay like I do - several people beside us were praising how good the Pinot Noir was too. All in all - couldnt recomment the place highly enough - a fantastic experience. For those not wanting a big fancy meal there is the second restaurant were you can have some lovely pizzas and share plates whilst you sample a wine or two - looked great

Wines and service all fine, but can't believe how poorly they've created the space for the view. The glass windows have a large horizontal panel blocking any horizon or greenery and it's all gravel below that. Such a shame for a beautiful location
