A beautiful historical reminder of days gone by. Well worth a visit, although you can’t enter the chalet (you can peer through the windows and look at the fullly furnished rooms) there are lots of information boards and the view is breathtaking. The chalet will be opening again in 2025 with accommodation and cafe. Looking forward to visiting again.

Unfortunately the chalet is now closed. I was fortunate enough to stay there many years ago. It exuded old world charm in a serene setting with beautiful vistas. The views and walking tracks through scenic bushland make it still worth visiting Mount Buffalo despite the chalet not being available.

Took our favorite cars here on summer day during public holiday with couple of mates. We got told off by Park Victoria to move on because someone didn't like our cars. We didn't end up enjoying the site. Too many grumpy people. We don't recommend if you want to take your pride and joy up this mountain or you will end up chased by Parks Victoria worker.

Beautiful and charming old world guest house. Sadly now closed and hasn't operated for many years. It is in danger of falling into total disrepair. The state government needs to step in and foot the bill for some much needed restoration and renovation. What a treasure it would be to have it operating once more. Tourists would flock to it. Let's hope something happens soon.

Beautiful drive up to the top with some picturesque valley views. Plenty of stops along the way to have a dip. Great location and the views are great.

We visited during the spring. It looks nice from outside. Doors were not opened to the public. However, you have plenty of outdoor space near by to explore.
