Great location near the beach and Cape Hillsborough. Very helpful and friendly host had excellent suggestions for local attractions. Very pleased we chose them. Room has everything required for a comfortable night or two with nice outside areas and amenities. Would highly recommend.

Room was clean, comfortable and priced right. Great location too. There was a mix up with booking - not the motel's fault - but they fixed it right away. Comfortable and convenient stop on way through from Brisbane to the Daintree.

Have stayed here 3 times under the previous management, very nice and comfortable. Stayed there a week ago, can't believe how dirty a motel room can be. Obviously the manager is off-site and only arrives by car if you ring him. Never again, such a pity

Ok motel, misleading pictures
It's a motel, so you expect the rooms to be next to the parking with the main window looking at your car. Or you know you will pay for a room with little to no amenities.
However, the pictures are very misleading. We expected a clean and modern motel. It was outdated and in a worse state of repair than expected.
Our rooms was ok, but not as nice as some of the pictures indicated.
Rooms size is ok and it comes.with a microwave and chairs, but it needs to be refurbished and the bathrooms seemed dirty.
The door closed but the lock did not feel strong and safe

When I arrived, I presumed it was still within business hours but the office was not open. Did the check in and received my key and got vague instructions on where the room was, finally found it. Did not find the pool that is advertised on the website. Went to my room and found a man lying on my bed. Turns out there was a mix up with the rooms/keys. Then the key I got given took a long time to work in the lock. Finally got settled to find the room was not clean very well. There was a ant's nest near the bathroom entry and a trail coming from the ceiling to under the bathtub. The vanity was falling apart. I also found it strange to have a toaster in the room but no cutlery or plates/bowls. The room was definitely outdated and the caretaker does not seem to care about anything.

I booked a room with two beds, got to the motel there was only one bed, (even before he gave us the key he knew there was more than 2 of us but didn’t say anything ) the main worker didn’t seem to care or even bother try helping to sort this out, the Australian guy was giving suggestions and was great, but the main worker just didn’t care, so it resulted in one of us sleeping on their rock hard floor! (As there wasn’t even a couch)
We also got to the motel and the motel room was not clean and we were told to come back, we came back after an hour and there was a strong smell of chemicals, we had to air the room out

There was no cutlery or plates..cups only,did have a microwave but no point if nothing to eat with..not even a cover on the quilt and listening to the trucks roar by allnight

Room was dirty, put fan on not realising dust was starting to form around blades and some fell on our beds, freezer had something melted in there, underbeds not cleaned, crumbs on armchair, hair in shower, curtains didn't look clean, I spoke to manager next day, his excuse someone was living in there for 2mths, I said it's unacceptable it should not have been booked to anybody, what about keeping things clean cause of covid, even the outdoor area where a group could sit tables dirty I had booked my room 5mths ago I didn't just drive in off street, won't stay here again
