Very useful service. It was either the Ferry or leave the car on the Putney side and swim. Everyone in Sydney has to try the Mortlake Ferry at least once and then go and visit Cabarita Park and have a coffee.

It almost feels like a waste of everything considering the trip distance and the limited hours of operation.

With that said, can't take away the plus points of the experience. The ferry is free (one can argue that it should be!), it brings with it some Sydney history and the trip to 'the other side' will make you feel like you've gone on a trip out of the city. All of this without the crazy prices and crowds from the Circular Quay ferries!

As long as you're mindful of the limited hours of operation , this could be a fun little experience to take advantage of when in the area.
