We stayed two nights in the Moonbah Lake Hut in late September. The weather was cool and sunny - crisp and cold at night. On entering we felt the warmth from the underfloor heating welcoming us. Limited space but room for everything provided and the best things were the marvellous large stone fireplace, cosy armchairs in front of the open fire and the spacious bed at the other end. All mod cons, toaster, two hotplates, microwave, hot water showers etc. The underfloor heating warmed the whole hut including the bathroom floor - luxury!||This place is a lovely getaway from the city, there's ducks on the little lake and chooks nearby (thanks for the eggs girls!) Bring all your own provisions and enjoy a lovely glass of red on the deck before sundown - we did! Thanks Brett for your hospitality and welcome pack !

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the River Hut recently. The location was picture perfect, so peaceful and wonderfully quiet for a weekend away. The inside of the hut was furnished beautifully, the bed was super soft and comfy, and the hut was already warm and cosy for us when we arrived. Brett and Diana were friendly and welcoming and great hosts. We can't wait to come back for another visit.

We were lucky enough to experience both huts with our little family. Each hut has its own character with vintage decor and special touches by the owners.
The lake hut is sweet, small and cozy. It feels like you’ve stepped back in time and cocooned away from the rest of the world. Cozy up by the fire place with a good book, enjoy the lake and the cute chooks that pop over daily for a visit.
The River hut is larger, still cozy and away from everything, but offers more space. We played board games by the fire place, sat on the deck looking at thousands of stars and enjoyed our morning coffee by the river. It all takes your breath away.
The huts are an absolute treat. There’s no phone reception, tv or Wi-Fi - which we loved. Both are set up with just enough comforts of home like a coffee machine, cookware, lovely linens and crockery.
Thank you Brett and Diana for creating such a beautiful space. We’ll be back again and again and look forward to catching up with you next time.

Truely one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. So beautiful and peaceful and only a short drive to town. The owners go above and beyond and are extremely friendly. I look forward to my next stay at Moonbah Huts.

A rustic escape with all the comforts. We had a wonderful 5 night stay in the Lake Cottage, and came back so refreshed. Thank you Brett, it was an awesome stay.||||On first glace you feel like you've stepped back in time, but it doesn't take long to notice the special effort Brett has gone to to make this a super comfortable stay, from the comfy bed, quality towels and heated floors. Check it out, you won't be sorry.

Stayed here for two nights and found it rather delightful. A beautiful setting, outstanding view and comfortable. Some very lovely touches around the cottage. Plenty of old world charm , I felt like a pioneer/ early settler sitting on the rocking chair on the veranda of the river cottage. Brett was very welcoming and Buster the border collie paid us a visit every now and then.|Just a couple of things would make it even better and that would be a light above the sink In the kitchen as the cottage is quite dark. Some tea light candles would add to the ambience and a table on the front veranda. |But Moonbah Huts is a very special place and offers an experience as well as comfortable accommodation.

We loved our stay here. It was a great way to escape the real world for a little bit. Great romantic getaway with no tv, phone, WiFi or even phone service. The stars are amazing here because of it. There was so much wildlife that I can’t list them all. The detail to the cabins was amazing and I simply loved the beds. And of course we treasured our weekend dog Buster and our porch chooks. We would definitely come back again!

The perfect place to get away from it all, and still enjoy creature comforts. The River Hut has every feature for a perfectly comfortable stay. The location is stunningly beautiful. Cross the river, and a walk in the Kosciuszko National Park is on your doorstep. The wildlife is amazing. We had a wonderful anniversary long weekend, thank you Brett. Buster and the friendly chickens are an added bonus!!
