Mont De Lancey will always hold a special place in our hearts — it’s where my wife and I were married, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we visited, we knew it was the perfect setting for our big day. The beautifully preserved homestead, lush gardens, and breathtaking Yarra Valley backdrop created the most romantic and picturesque atmosphere we could have ever hoped for.

The grounds are immaculately maintained, with so much charm and character around every corner — from the historic buildings to the blooming rose gardens and the peaceful rolling hills. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how stunning the venue was, and the setting made for the most incredible wedding photos.

The team at Mont De Lancey were also outstanding. They were warm, helpful, and genuinely passionate about making our day unforgettable. Everything ran smoothly and stress-free, and we felt completely supported every step of the way.

Whether you’re planning a wedding, a special celebration, or just want to enjoy a day out exploring history and natural beauty, Mont De Lancey is a must.

We had such a wonderful time there, we booked a guided tour through the Family Homestead with lovely Elizabeth the tour guide! The tour was very informative and fun. We learned how they cooked in their Timber Slab Kitchen, we stepped inside the tiny historic 1920s weatherboard Chappell 💒
We enjoyed our lunch at the Two Peas cafe with beautiful views of the Yarra Valley 😊

A wonderful day out here. Lovely well cared for grounds
Great for photos but it was cloudy when we visited - still photos were decent (check them out). Friendly volunteers with an excellent guide (thank you Rhonda!) leading the way in showcasing a few of the historic buildings. A small museum as well but we didn't have the time to browse thoroughly. A must go if you're in the vicinity perhaps at the start of their opening hours so that the family has time to take it all in. It was quiet on Wednesday and the smithy was "closed" but we did get an impromptu tour of the large blacksmith building which was awesome. Bought a few items there which will make great keepsakes. Highly recommended!

Mont De Lancey is a great place to visit for a few hours rich in history. The 1hr Yesterday tour I paid $15:00 for was well worth it. Our tour guide Peter i think his name was very friendly and informative about the place and the local history. He also happily answered any questions we had. The two peas in pod cafe has some yummy snacks, light lunches and drinks reasonably priced. The museum and gift shop areas were great to browse through as well. I definitely recommend a look.
