We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for 2 nights at Milkwood Lodge. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The lady who showed us to our rooms could not have been more helpful. She even let us do our washing, for free I might add, which was a godsend after our trip from the Cape. Would definitely stay again. 5 stars +

Tucked away in Cooktown, Milkwood lodge is a tranquil lodge with cabin style accomodation nestled in the rainforest.|The hosts are super friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about Cooktown, happy to help you discover the sights and sounds of the area and live on site.||Cabins are very clean, contemporary and spacious. Fully equipped kitchenette, beautiful hot showers and have an airy feel. The balconies overlooking the treetops offer an escape and is a beautiful place to sit back with a cup of tea.||The amenities: shower gel, shampoos etc smell divine and the little touches like the deluxe hot chocolate and cookies are a real treat!|Highly recommend staying here if you're in Cooktown!

If I could leave 6 stars for service I would. Sharon (I hope I’m spelling that right) was only too eager to help out, as we were flying in just for the one night she arranged for us to have transport to and from the airport and did her best to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. If you’re after a peaceful spot in the rainforest with the the best service money can buy this is it.

Absolutely amazing ?
The perfect place in paradise.
So thoroughly impressed with the wonderful Milkwood Lodge .
Such a relaxing ,enjoyable stay .
Large cabins set amongst the beautiful rainforest .Very comfortable bed and high quality linen and towels .
Delicious cooked breakfast delivered to our room .Sitting on the balcony watching so many beautiful butterflies ? and birds was lovely .
From the moment of booking the staff were so friendly and helpful .
Thank you so much for making our time in Cooktown so enjoyable .
I have already recommended Milkwood to so many people ,I am sure they would be just as impressed .

Stayed at the milkwood lodge for two nights! Great accomodation. The room was clean and the kitchen small but surprisingly well equipped.

I stayed at Milkwood Lodge overnight after coming to Cooktown for work, and was surprised with how great the facilities are! They’re gorgeous romantic cabins that are spacious and well appointed. There are kitchenette, king size beds, lounge room and a balcony. In the morning, the birdlife is prolific! The staff are also great and can’t do enough for you. We had an early morning flight and they were very keen to accommodate us for breakfast at whatever time we needed.
