Overall a good stay. The rooms were clean and in excellent condition and the location was very good.

The only fault was the service. I arrived at the check-in time with three people already in line. I wasn’t served for half an hour — perhaps consider putting more people at the reception desk during busy periods.

Hubby and I who are aged in our mid 60’s recently stayed at Meriton Suites, Church St, Parramatta for one night in a one bedroom suite.|As we were attending a show at the nearby Riverside Theatre, Meriton seemed a good option. ||As a member of the Meriton Eminence loyalty program, I have stayed is quite a few different Meriton properties in various locations and it always seems to provide very good accommodation and facilities. ||However, in terms of Meriton Church St, it was not without its problems and if I needed to rank Meriton Church St against the other Meriton properties I have stayed in, it would probably rank last. ||Firstly, the positives, and this is all about ā€œlocation locationā€. It’s perfectly situated in the riverside area with lots of eateries surrounding it. Certainly, the location is brilliant especially if you are attending anything show at Riverside or the nearby football stadium, it’s literally a very short walk.||Now for the negatives. First of all, both the entrance to the hotel and the car park is located in a very small lane way (Dirabarri Lane) and good luck finding it. We drove past it three times before we found it, and this was mainly due to the heavy amount of building construction that is taking place at that location. So having finally found and navigated our way to the Meriton car park entrance which is right at the end of the lane, we were then faced by the steepest driveway I’ve ever seen to a car park. Guys, this was near completely vertical and in our our tiny little MX5 vehicle, this was a challenge, and that’s not even the mention to even access rhe steep ramp, you firstly have to push the button on the boom gate which was placed so high, it was beyond our reach from such a small car. At the top of the ramp, there’s a tight turn which found both hubby and myself muttering ā€œholy molyā€, ||Upon entering reception around lunch time, our room wasn’t ready, which was not a problem as they do advertise check in from 3pm which seems to be a standard thing these days. We got access to,our room around 2pm which was fine. So, entering the apartment, although it was spotlessly clean, it’s just seemed a bit ā€œho humā€. The layout was a bit odd. There was a balcony but instead of if facing the river as Inhad hoped, it was facing south west, so the view was nothing to write home about, consisting of a lot of construction sites more than anything. ||However, the bathroom was the tiniest bathroom I’ve ever been in, … literally ever, and only accommodating one speed on at a time. This was much smaller than any of the other Meriton bathrooms I had been in, but that wasn’t the biggest problem. Firstly, the glass partition in the shower extends a very long way meaning the physical walk in entrance to the shower is in fact extremely narrow. Lucky were ā€œnot big peopleā€. |Again, not the biggest problem. I had a shower that afternoon before going to the show and noticed the water on the shower floor was not draining away properly or in the way it should meaning that when your shower is finished, your still ankle deep in water, and this was still there the next morning for my shower. It hadn’t drained away even during the night. So that wasn’t great and a clear design fault. ||The bed was comfy, no problems there. Strange position for the tv in the bedroom which was situated between the edge of the wardrobe and the bedroom door. With the bedroom door open, the right hand side of the tv was obscured behind the door. ||Overall a good stay, I’d definitely recommend it for the location, but, as I said, not without some issues.

My family and I always stay at Meriton hotels when we travel, but this stay was a major disappointment. Our first room was in an unacceptable state, lint on the floor, an unclean splashback with visible spills, black hair everywhere, unwiped surfaces, a strong smell of smoke, and a mouldy shower curtain. After going to reception twice, I requested a room change. It took 15 minutes for them to consult a manager before moving us, but unfortunately, the new room wasn’t much better.
In the second room, part of the skirting board had come off the wall, there was water and dirty footprints all over the floor, the curtains and walls were stained, and the dishes and utensils hadn’t been properly cleaned. It was clear that cleanliness and maintenance were not priorities.
Additionally, the hotel’s entrance felt unsafe. Access was through a poorly lit alley behind another building, which didn’t create a welcoming or secure first impression.
Overall, this experience did not meet the standards I’ve come to expect from Meriton. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and improves both cleanliness and guest experience moving forward.

My favourite spot I have ever stayed in! Staff are amazing, so kind and helpful. Stored our bags to we could look around Parramatta and felt extremely safe even returning late after a concert. Only downside was the construction at the front of the hotel, but that is out of the hotels control. Room was extremely clean and luxurious and extremely affordable for what we got. Pool was so nice and some many options for restaurants. Will be backā˜ŗļø

Good hotel but it is parked over the back of the Park Royal and the Powerhouse building site. The rooms are fairly modern and in good condition. The suite is a good size however the view (from this section anyway) isn't great to say the least.

If you're considering staying here, please reconsider. Be aware that staying here may end up costing you a lot more than the quoted price.

Several hours after leaving the hotel, I received a mysterious charge from this hotel for over $600 on my card. It turned out they claimed I had damaged their TV in my room and sent me a photo of an absolutely destroyed wall mounted TV set, the sort of damage you get from smashing it with a stick or something. It is my belief that the cleaners damaged the TV and attempted to pass the cost onto me as they didn't want to jeopardise their jobs.

Be careful of the staff here, they won't hesitate to rip you off if they make a mistake and they know they can get away with it.

Very disappointed- the 1 bedroom suite was filthy|Complained night before.|It’s the following day, 3pm and I’m still waiting to be relocated to another room.|Apparently they’ve gotta deep clean another room - ummm shouldn’t rooms be deep cleaned on a regular basis? I’ve been informed some of the furniture is also not up to scratch. Again… shouldn’t this be arranged before they book people in|Never seen such appalling service is what is meant to luxury accommodation.||When you’re down at reception, have a look just above reception … the dust accumulated up there is clearly visible. This place is not ever thoroughly cleaned.||I’ve just spent the time reading other Google reviews and it seems that lack of cleanliness is a common theme. ||There’s so much wrong with this place, I’ll let the pics do the rest of the talking.
